2 transfers have been confirmed in the past few days: Jeffren to Sporting Lisbon (3.5ME) and Oriol to Chelsea (5ME). Good luck to both of them

Hey guys. Sorry for not updating this thread. Been away for work the past whole week. Missed the Real game, because of the ridiculous Astro.
But in all honesty, our season has not even started yet. Yes we already have 1 official match, but our full first team has been assembled just before the match. Our last signing has just been completed. Joan Gamper Trophy is yet to be played. Heck, even our first team still haven't found the right time to organize proper photoshoot session So a draw against Madrid in Bernabeu shouldn't be so bad right? Added on August 17, 2011, 6:03 am QUOTE(MrFay @ Aug 15 2011, 03:30 PM) Arsenal is entitled further 10ME in bonus if Barca do well in the next 2 years. I'm not sure the details, but iinm that will be either we win 2 next Liga titles, or 1 UCL during this or next season....QUOTE(leymar7 @ Aug 15 2011, 03:42 PM) ....so if you want your money, than you better pray that we are gonna have 2 great seasons. It was a good game, we're leading, but I would like the players to put more pressure into their closing down. RM have been showing that, perhaps its like Pep said, they have better level of fitness than us currently. Hopefully everything turn out better in 2nd half.

QUOTE(zeronehza @ Aug 18 2011, 07:03 AM) Barca play good to overtake rm defence.. The game was a good one as far as football is concerned. But through my Barca-tinted glasess, Pepe and Marcelo became a thug as the game wore on, and our players overreact as hell, and we have the same ending of El Clasico like we always have since Mourinho come. but when the time come to attitude of both team.. really depress me.. what to say its classico congrat anyway.. see again guys on next liga classico QUOTE(tzxsean @ Aug 18 2011, 07:12 AM) Don't worry, Marca will come up with stories about it in 1 hour. Just wait for the news. |

Now that Mou has infamously called Tito 'Pito Vilanova', but what does Pito mean?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « No need lip reading, the translation is pretty straightforward abusive. Now where's the media to cover this? |

QUOTE(MrFay @ Aug 18 2011, 08:50 PM) Expect this to be swept under the carpet. Similar to Busquets-Marcelo case, if Busquets really a racist, how about a host of black players he has played together? Has he insulted them too? Now Villa. If he really insulted Islam, will Abidal, Keita, and Afellay remain silent? And where is exactly the source?Oh, people wanna talk about stories without source, then I also heard that Ozil got the red card because he stepped onto Cesc when he was still on the ground, not because of his reaction to Villa. But it has no source as far as I'm concerned, that's why I didn't post here. And some people here wanna talk about stories without source here? Further note from barcastuff TW note on villa-ozil: apart from players hitting each other, there are no reports in the spanish media about any remarks about religions |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Aug 19 2011, 02:11 AM) No comment on the religion part but Villa really make a lot of neutral supporters like us lose respect of him. What's with the slapping all of a sudden? If he slaps Marcelo, I can still understand but ozil? What's with tat? What a great player Villa is but he just acted like some hooligans on pitch.... Joey Barton number 2? We don't know what really happened, and most probably we will never know. Ozil and Villa are not known for vicious behaviour. People are not sure the cause of Ozil's reaction, we also don't know what trigger Villa to lost his mind like that. Something must have happened in the brawl. We outsiders should not judge when we don't know the story. For me the only guy who have demonstrated despicable behaviour is Mourinho. Others were just getting caught up in the heat of the moment. |

I think the referee and his assistant, who were at the scene and the best people to judge, has done their job. Here's a video with better angles (and dramatic music): http://www.cuatro.com/deportes/super...451884815.html Looks like Özil did or said something that made Villa snap. The assistant saw it and went to the referee who gave Özil a red right away, and then one to Villa also. Özil pushed valdes when valdes wasn't looking, villa saw this and calmly confroted özil. Villa grabbed özils arm to get his attention then özil got angry and drags his arm away from villa in a ugly gesture(what the commentator said) and villa snapped. The La Liga round 1 this weekend is set to be canceled because of player strike. The canceled Jornada will be postponed to some date near Christmas, and probably will clash with our World Club Cup date. We are going to have super-packed calendar this season.
But Barca will have its own program this weekend; Joan Gamper Trophy against Napoli on 22 August. |

QUOTE(PVCpipe @ Aug 19 2011, 11:00 PM) i still dont understand.... so this thread is wrong? of course theres critics, opinions goin around this thread... thats what fan do.... and what is with epl, non epl fan? im barca supporter but still, in bpl i support arsenal... cant it be like that? What Jusstatic complained was the hypocritical nature of complains each time people talk about morale in this thread. Referring to your previous post, Villa should behave to be a role model, should Madrid players not do the same? Marcelo? Pepe? Players in EPL? Are they behaving decent enough to be role model towards younger generation? Why only Villa have to carry this responsibility of being 'nice'? Although he was treated harshly, was Ozil aggressive response a good example for children? Just see how hard Higuain and other RM staffs had to pull him away. Still hold morale high ground? Now 'neutrals' no longer respect him, then fine, but IMO you guys are just attacking this one action, when in fact everybody who were involved in the scuffle were at fault. At least Iniesta thinks like that. Read his post match interview. This post has been edited by matyrze: Aug 20 2011, 02:02 AM |

QUOTE(PVCpipe @ Aug 20 2011, 05:52 AM) im aware they r proplr n people r not perfect... my opinion on villa bcoz i've been idolize him since he was in valencia..... hes among other player that i dont expect to have attitude prob,.... like c.ronaldo(impress at 1st when see he play for portugal, then dive), ramos(excessive action arguing with his country's teammate) , r.gigg(sex scandal),cantona(kungfu kick fan)... i dont know bout other people but for me, i have this kind of expectation to people,(dont how to put it into word), like in everyday's life, you will lose respect to people that you look up to, when they do something that you cant accept..... I think you are being too personal QUOTE(PVCpipe @ Aug 19 2011, 04:53 AM) lose respect.... seems villa like to make people angry to get ref attention it seems like you were implying that there are more morally decent footballer than Villa that you could look up too, and that you were trying to compare Villa's personality to other footballers. I think that's not something good to post, and I think you should not have posted it here. Of course it can infuriate Barca fans. Our first impression surely is like "WTH, another hater trolling".QUOTE(braindeath @ Aug 20 2011, 06:10 AM) just wanna share with u guys...... QUOTE(themanguydude2 @ Aug 20 2011, 01:12 PM) Nope, I'm pretty sure Barca fans here realize Busquets' antics. The question is, is Busquets the only one play act? No player from other teams do it? You're a Man Utd fan are you? So Utd players don't dive? Because I'm pretty sure it'll only take up mere 3-4 seconds to look for a diving incident by a Utd player in Youtube. So why troll other people's thread? Like Jusstatic suggested, jealous much? |
