QUOTE(Sebastiank21 @ Jun 20 2011, 09:53 AM) Actually, there's no agreement between Udinese and Barca on a fee, yet. It's just that the Catalan media is getting too excited, as usual Added on June 20, 2011, 1:09 pmOr you can take the statement from this website: http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/6996862/...fee-for-Sanchez 33 million pound. But according to Sport.es, no agreement yet. Just wait the news I guess. This post has been edited by matyrze: Jun 20 2011, 01:09 PM |

QUOTE(uzary @ Jun 20 2011, 08:44 PM) sos - http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/News-...icle749171.html Hello fellow Cules, please be extra careful when reading British press reports. There're sh!t, believe me. That article you quoted for instance, it is absolutely laughable considering that they publish the news but don't have the balls to properly mention its true source. What is their source? Someone from inside Barcelona? A member of the board poerhaps? Or Rosell himself?guys, today newspaper, not sure metro or berita harian, i read about this article, a complete translation in BM, but that is not the point. the point is how relevant is this rumors? are our team really gona sacrifice villa just like that? That's why I prefer reading Sport.es and EMD. Even though their reports may contain a lot of exaggeration and overly bombastic news, at least they don't make up quotes, and they don't act like they have secret agents acting as their 'source'. Even with those horrible translation by Google, I don't mind. QUOTE(befitozi @ Jun 21 2011, 12:03 AM) Yeah, but the same sympathy is hardly been shown to Cristiano Ronaldo despite he being significantly better in cutting out those antics. |

Sport has published the details about Sanchez transfer:
1) 28ME 2) 5ME in variables 3) Jeffren go to Udinese 4) Jonathan Soriano to La Liga newcomer Granada. Why suddenly Granada? Because both Granada and Udinese are owned by the Pozzo family. The father owns Udinese, the son owns Granada. Despite this, there are still working on even more details. Seems like it'd take a lot more for Udinese lowering their expectation. IINM initially they demanded 50ME. BTW, Messi provided this gorgeous pass to assist Aguero |

QUOTE(nshady @ Jun 22 2011, 07:02 PM) Hi matyrze. Would like to know your view about bojan's transfer. Still a really young lad(21 years old) and i thought he has been the "Wonderkid" in barca(A striker and one of LA masia's product). But despite his age and nationality, 10 million pounds is quite a nice amount. Yeap 10 million is pretty good amount. However another problem pops out. Barca keen to add 2 years buy back clause into the the agreement. However Roma are rumored to ask a whopping 20ME, much higher than 12ME Barca expected Personally I'd like Bojan to stay, but I gotta admit that during the last game I watched him playing, which was during last 15 minutes of Spain U21 vs Ukraine game, I twice facepalmed because of his poor decision making. Maaayybe he really needs the move, but for me once he goes away, there's no chance for him to succeed here |

QUOTE(nshady @ Jun 22 2011, 10:53 PM) 2 years buy back clause looks beneficial towards barca, and i believe real did the same thing for most of their players who left for another club(for example granero). If he could become another superstar in 2 years time, i believe 20 ME wouldnt bother barca that much. Yeah Real Madrid have done the same thing, but the chance of being successful is highly questionable. Only de la Red showed huge potential, too bad his career ended prematurely. If barca were to sold Krkic to Arsenal, I doubt they would even allow barca to have buy-back clause. But with David villa, and sanchez on the verge of joining barca, i think you guys have really talented attackers in the team already. Sanchez could be a hit in few years time. We also have our own experience with this buy back clause thingy with Gerard Lopez, but it was a big failure because he was plagued by injuries after he returned from Valencia. So I'm very pessimistic about Bojan succeeding in blaugrana shirt, if he is transferred to Roma. Maybe he'll a success in Roma, but not at Camp Nou. |

Villa: Rumors move to England? That's not even a rumour, that's just a lie. I want to stay as long as possible, I hope to retire at Barça.

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Jun 25 2011, 12:29 AM) Wow, the pursuit of Barcelona on Alexis Sanchez is heating up now with City entering the race. LOL nice suggestion! Maybe you guys should pay the amount they ask but include a refund clause in the transfer contract that they should refund if Madrid do win something next season. But its true, our progress with Sanchez is very complicated, because City offered Udinese a hell lot of money. The difference is huge. The only reason we are still in contention is because Sanchez prefers us, and has no intention to join City. As a result we are being pressured by Udinese to offer similar kind of deal. I don't know what happened with the proposed Jeffren move. But I heard that he isn't impressed with how things are going. It's obvious that Jeffren wanna stay as well. |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Jun 26 2011, 12:47 PM) Jeffren ruled out moving to Italy which means he is not interested in joining Udinese I supposed? So I guess Barca have to come out with a new package to persuade Udinese then. Yea the problem arises when Barca started working on a new package, which will be totally in cash. I'm afraid Udinese just compared ours and City's offer, and they demand more money from us. Now after failing to even impress the employers of Rossi and Sanchez, it seems like we finally have to move on to other targets. But the good news is, the name that pops out is the name I wanted ever since the treble season; JUAN MATAAAA!!!! Never watched Jeffren playing. How good is this lad anyway? Have been seeing him linked with us for the past few weeks without knowing who is him. Jeffren in all honesty hasn't showed much for us. He's shown brilliance in flashes. Probably he has some Pedro in him, that he can sense the opportunities to create things, but his fitness really troubles him. Hurm, I can't even remember the last time he played full 90 minutes of a match, as he's been restricted to cameo appearance in Euro U21 too. When he starts he always get subbed out after around 60th minutes. |

QUOTE(MrFay @ Jun 27 2011, 12:22 AM) wait...juan manuel mata? u mean the youth product of real madrid? err, sounds eto'o to me.. Another of this one by another Real reject wearing blaugrana perhaps? eto'o: real madrid > mallorca > barca(boom!) mata: real madrid > valencia > barca(boom?) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « In the meantime, as we are struggling to sign big names due to crazy pricing of players nowadays, we are set to sign Kiko Femenia from Hercules. IINM the deal will involve around 3ME+variables. |

No we won't get Pastore because Italian clubs are expecting crazy deals for their star players.
And I'd prefer Cesc because of his DNA Catalan press has been mentioning Mata as one of the alternatives should we give up on Rossi and Sanchez. Arsenal is bidding? Well I've heard various other clubs has put their bid for Mata, and all has been proven to be just tabloid materials. We just wait I guess |

Barcelona would pay 27M+13M variables. Last discussions about variables. [source: sport]
Apparently this is our last offer. If Udinese reject it, most probably we will try Mata instead. |

QUOTE(kokakopi @ Jul 1 2011, 02:03 PM) i just wonder why barca seems like so desperate to land fabregas.. it is so expensive to land our home-grown player... Quoted from Sid Lowe's latest article:we already have thiago, so why dont we use him first as a backup for xavi? maybe fabregas style of play is more similiar to xavi i guess.. but, is it so desperately to land fabs? i dont think so.... as for me, we better seek for puyol replacement since his career is nearing to end.. his injury is the biggest issue so far.. so, what say u guys?? as for sanchez, city already pull put from the race to land him.. so, barca might have a big chance to land him.. go for it barca!!! QUOTE The reasoning, from which all else stems, boils down to a simple fact: right now Cesc Fabregas is a priority for Guardiola and right now Thiago is not. Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writ...l#ixzz1Qvla8s9A Meaning, Cesc can be thrown into first team action straight away, while Thiago is pretty much still under grooming process. I always prefer him to follow Pedro/Busquets route, rather than rushed route like Bojan/Giovanni took. |

QUOTE(barca96 @ Jul 3 2011, 05:44 PM) messi will always gets the blame even though he is trying to play midfielder and attacker at the same time. just because he isn't a local boy like tevez and others. I think he did great. The problem is as you said, he was forced to be their Xaviniesta. He had to be the creative creator. Sure he has the creativity, but what he doesn't have is the consistency to do it for 90 minutes. With Barca he is allowed to drift out occasionally, because our midfield help circulate the ball around. With Argentina his teammates ALWAYS look for him. He has never been a player who can dictate play for the whole match. |

More good news
Fontas promoted! FC Barcelona has informed Andreu Fontàs that he will be playing with the first team in the 2011/12 season. His buy-out clause will be automatically raised to 30 million euros. As well as this raise, Andreu Fontàs, who has a contract until 2012, will also be automatically extended to June 30, 2013. Andreu Fontàs, a regular in Luis Enrique’s Barça B, was temporarily promoted to the first team on March 16, 2011 to provide cover for Éric Abidal, who had been diagnosed with a liver tumour. Fontàs continued working with Josep Guardiola until the end of the season and appeared in eight games. But he had already made his first team debut in the 2009/10 league campaign against Sporting Gijón at the Camp Nou (3-0). Andreu Fontàs joined the club from Girona in 2007. He played in the youth team for a season, and for Barça B for two and a half years before moving up to the first team. http://www.fcbarcelona.cat/web/english/not...0704118272.html |
