hi felice pls see my response above in green ya.
you are in correct topic as this is focus only on consultation/sharing on dermalogica =)

In that sense, I will continue using Essential Cleansing Solution and Skin Smoothing Cream as my skin is not oily, might be a bit on nose area. Is that fine?

hi if you suffer regular breakouts i would suggest you to get face analysis from salon professional consultant .
special cleansing gel can remove excessive oil but there is also medicated clearing range for acne prone skin type in dermalogica

assuming your self prescription is correct, it should be ok unless you feel too oily and small bump on your skin, perhaps you can switch either cleanser or moisturiser like suggested above

hi,

I have a doubt. Is moisturizer a must even for a skin with super oily, acne prone conditions, LARGE & clogged pores, scars & marks, blackheads & pimples all around the face? I found out that, moisturizer causes breakout on my face.

What kind of dermalogica moisturizer is suitable for the above skin condition?

Thanks!

Hi Rayanne,

Need ur advice as currently I'm having breakouts around my chin and cheek area. I think it's mainly because of the moisturizer which I was using previously as it will cause my skin to get very oily after like 3 hours.

Therefore I've stopped using it and am not using any moisturizer at the moment and it seemed that the breakouts seemed to be recovering. But I'm the combination to dry skin (with a bit sensitive) and the dermatologist was saying that my skin is kind of dry.

Therefore am a bit confused on the moisturizer which would be suitable for me since the current one doesn't seemed to be suited for me... cry.gif

Would you be able to help recommend something for me? notworthy.gif

hi i would suggest the following base on your prescription, for best consultation it is good to get professional face mapping with the salon though:
special cleansing gel 250/500ml for normal oily skin type
multiactive toner 250ml all skin type
skin smoothing cream for normal dry skin
daily microfolaint 75g award winning product /scrub to remove dead skin cell and allow new skin cell renewal leaving skin smoother and brighten noticeably
skin hydrating mask 75ml for hydration and soften skin for easy black/whitehead extraction
solar defense booster spf30 50ml to prevent pigmentation
total eye care spf15 to combat dark circle

skin care is vary from individual skin condition and above product are recommended base on your needs/ interested-regimen ya

hi it is better to get professional consultation from aster spring/LD because without face mapping it is very hard to comment; skin smoothing cream might be over moisture for your case if you have regular breakouts or it could be change of hormone and stress as well; i have not heard of soothing protection booster, it could be soothing protection spray toner?

some said moisturiser is not a must. for salon advise - it is a need.
perhaps you can try oil free moisturiser

Rayanne,

Was previously using this cream, Neogence Hydrating Cream cause the SA was saying that it's quite popular in taiwan since it's considered like a dermatologist brand.

Anyway, I've stayed off it and my skin has stopped having that shining look except for a bit of shine at the t-zone. I've also stayed out from applying makeup and am starting to use mineral makeup instead to help preventing further breakouts. sad.gif

i see.yeah its a good move ,and also if you really need to apply make up,do have a real cleanse of face when you remove make up dirts totally. in the make up there are mineral make up and also make care cosmetic like averine.com ,paris fr.

if were to suggest a moisturiser from dermalogica, active moist is one choice.
Directions
After cleansing and toning, smooth over the face and throat with light, upward strokes. Use twice daily, morning and night.
Apply to a clean, dry face after each cleansing .

* Lightweight, oil-free moisturizer for oilier skin
* Soothing panthenol and allantoin calm irritation and dryness
* Absorbs easily with no excess residue
* Invisible barrier against moisture loss

ezyma is more to seek skin specialist consultation because there are a few types of ezyma that you may need to find out the root cause

hi ingkie
base on your prescription, i would recommend to try the following regimen:
1) ultracalming cleanser
3) smoothing cream or active moist
4) soothing protection spray (some ppl think this a bit oily some not)
6) barrier repair or redness relief spd15
7) hydrating masque min twice a week or hydrating booster
8) sunblock --which type? very essential. recommended solar defense booster.

try stop using for those canceled and see if less oiliness. some skin condition just not use to apply gentle soothing booster

Hi Rayanne,
I'm new to Dermalogica but heard good reviews abt it. Recently I did my face mapping at Leonard Drake, the consultant recommend me to get the travel kit normal/oily and skin hydrating masque. So would like to double check with u if the recommendation is good?
I'm 31 yrs old male, having oily t-zone and sensitive cheeks. Thanks for your help!
