Dudes...!

I am contemplating on getting the NP8150-S1, shipping from XoticPC seemed steep (min. $159 via USPS Expedite Shipping), whereas the postage for your lappy is $96.95 only??? Where did ya get yours, my man? Do let me know yah! Cheers, mate!

After you configured and add the system that you want into the cart, login to your account. After confirming your address is correct, press next at the bottom and it'll get you to the shipping method screen.

Why so kan cheong? Take a step at a time... =)

One advice... please change the currency to RM, coz it's more expensive in SGD...

This my 2 cents... how come the EXACT same configuration cost about RM300 more in Mucro.asia than CubeHub.asia? And how come so many ppl buys from Mucro.asia? Why huh? *scratch head*

And when I emailed Mucro.asia enquiring about their price match, they kept giving me unclear answer like, CubeHub.asia's small prints and T&C and warranty. I asked them can they match CubeHub.asia's price if I configured EXACTLY as Mucro.asia's, they keep giving me the run around... Heng ah!

*Disclaimer: I'm not in any shape, way and form connected to CubeHub.asia... smile.gif

lol wut?

Actually they do have their own service center in Singapore! Just look at www.sgcubehubs.com!
They even can offer you a loaner lappy IF your lappy's in their service!

Plus they have this service stated below in their configurator:
Warranty:CubeHub 1 Year ASEAN Limited Warranty (Free Shipment back to User) US warranty covered (add 50)

So who says that CubeHub.asia sends all warranted lappy to Sager for service?

You'd better coz you never know what can/will happen! Labour charges can kill you! (besides the expensive parts needed!)

my bad then , that what i heard about few pages before this  cry.gif

Nah.. sorry if I offended you... I was just thinking aloud wink.gif
The only possible reason that Cubehub.asia is cheaper is because unlike XoticPc.com which offers a standard 3 years + 1 year Sager warranty, CubeHub.asia lets you purchase a 1 year + 1 year Sager warranty for only $50. In my reasoning, that's acceptable coz I can buy cheaper Sagers, at the expense of longer warranty service.

What do you guys think, esp. for those who had bought/ordered from CubeHub.asia?

It depends on the configuration and price, and your purpose for getting them... in short too many variables.
How to compare apples and oranges?

Added on March 28, 2011, 10:31 pmOn my part, I'm still torn between getting the NP8130 or the NP8150.... haih! How to choose, how to choose? Another RM800 can get the NP8150...

I'm not getting the GTX485M lar, but would like to have the knowledge that I can upgrade the NP8150 more easily in the future...

So what do you guys think? Is the NP8150 worth the extra RM800?

I saw this thread wrote Eurocom Racer (NP8150) w/HD6970m on sale and how much is it ? All Sager Laptop come with 1 years warranty ? Maximum is how many years ? If the laptop have problem then need to send it to Singapore ? Sager better than Alienware M17X in performace and value ?
*
Around $2k Canadian if I'm not mistaken... coz I tried the configurator yesterday... For warranty, it depends on the reseller, you can always "buy" more years for the warranty.

Again, it depends on where you get it, if it's an American reseller, then send back to USA, if like most of the owners' here - Singapore.

Dude... I want to clarify this point with you!
So CubeHub offered an additional 3% discount if we paid cash? (based on the configured system)
Sure boh?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So based on the configuration above, the price is USD1,443.39 - so there is an additional 3% discount for cash payment = USD1400.08?

did anyone order from malibal? their laptop so cheap lo, configured lotus

P150HM with HD6970 only cost USD13++, but then the deal breaker is

shipping USD335 like tat. anyone wan to try order? smile.gif
*
Errr... where got $1.3k+? Add the ATI 6970M already around $1.4k+!
Which Malibal website you went to? =)

Plus I admit that Malibal's offer is slightly better - case in point their Lotus P150HM-S1 with this configuration:

Lotus P150HM-S1
Display: 15.6" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED Backlit GlassView Display
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM, 6MB L3 Cache, 2.0-2.9GHz
Memory: (8GB) 8192MB, PC3-10660/1333MHz DDR3 - 2 SO-DIMM
Graphics Card: AMD® Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
Hard Drive: 750GB 7200rpm 2.5" SATA 300
Optical Bay: 8X Multi DVD+/-R/RW RAM Dual-Layer Drive
Wireless: Intel® 6230 Advanced-N 802.11A/B/G/N LAN and Bluetooth Card
Cooling: IC Diamond 7 Thermal Compound, CPU & GPU
Warranty: 3 Year Ltd. Labor and 1 Year Parts Warranty with 24/7 USA-Based Support
TOTAL PRICE: $1689 (before less 3%) OR around RM5103.31 (before less 3%)

Whereas Mucro.asia's price for the EXACT same configuration is MYR5,689.41

GO FIGURE!

One more thing, I've already emailed Malibal about their high shipping cost and I'm checking if they offer alternative shipping services. Hopefully they can offer USPS' service!

LOL, I'm now replying to Malibal on the shipping cost. Their reply on that matter was:

We only use UPS, USPS is a HORRIBLE shipping service, that's why it's so cheap - I would never use USPS, because you risk losing your laptop. Also, price on configuration page is correct price.

UPDATE: MALIBAL from Notebookreview.com has this to say:

QUOTE
We don't use USPS because it's a horrible service, even when shipping in the US! I can't imagine shipping to Malaysia how bad it might be, you take a big risk - their tracking system is horrific, but if you accept the risk - we can ship it USPS and the rate I'm sure would be similar to what other sites offer.

So in conclusion, shipment will be cheaper now if we insist on USPS!!! YAY!

Yah, I know! Apparently USPS' service in the USA SUCKS BIG TIME! But I have always insist on USPS because they're rock solid til now and I've been shopping online for more than 5 years now and they are very reliable.
I wonder why? Must be the same opinion that we have of Pos Malaysia, perhaps? wink.gif

UPDATE: So anyone who wants to get their Sagers can check Malibal out! This is their response:

QUOTE
Hi, well we can insure the package and so it will be no different than the other packages you received via USPS. I just assumed USPS to Malaysia would be terrible because even in US... USPS service can be really bad and it's a hassle trying to tracking down the packages, sometimes - but if you had good experiences with them shipping to you then I guess it won't be a problem.

For anyone who is still clueless about Malibal, you can check out NBR's Epsilon748 review on the NP8150 here!

And here's their policy on their 3 years labour, 1 year parts warranty:

QUOTE
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the warranty coverage outside the US?
Customers located outside of the US, have the same warranty coverage as US customers, including email and phone support, however, they must ship the notebook or parts back to the US in order to have them serviced and/or replaced. Note: All international customers must pay shipping charges to/from on service work. Typically, if a customer needs a service it will be something small like RAM or HDD, so the shipping doesn't cost that much - because only the RAM or HDD will need to be returned and not the entire laptop. Also, we can refer the customer to a computer shop in their country or near it, if they want to pay to have the machine serviced locally. But, if they choose to have it serviced locally, they will have to pay all fees associated with that service.

I don't have a problem with USPS. I was checking with Malibal on why they do not offer USPS' service, and that was their reply!

Yah lar, like we always complain about Pos Malaysia's local delivery service lar. But I think that all international postal service has a standard to keep, plus I know that Pos Malaysia's EMS uses DHL's transport for delivery to Europe.

We have added the international USPS rates to our site. Select them from the drop down box on the shipping rates page - please check them out and let us know what you think.
OMG... Malibal is so cool! MALIBAL-NBR has PM'ed me and stated that they now offer shipping via USPS EMS for only around $140 (I configured the NP8130!). That is like $200 off their UPS shipping...

And comparing their prices with XoticPC/Cubehub/LPC-Digital.... Malibal's prices for NP8130/NP8150/NP8170 and all the S1 models, are cheaper by at least $30~$50 (after 3% discount)!

That's it, I'm going to order one very soon as soon as I can sell my G73JH-X1!!!

It's always the most expensive when I configure NP8150-S1!

Check this out:
Attached Image
MUCRO.ASIA = RM5,309.80

and,
Attached Image
MALIBAL=USD1,634.00 (before 3% discount), after discount and conversion of RM4,802.98 (assuming USD1.00 = RM3.03)

So where got cheaper??!?!
