I found something funny.

I ordered mine without a HDD, therefore minusing $70 off my order. But my reseller forgot to take out the HDD inside the machine when they were testing it...and it was the new 750GB 7200RPM Momentus. Haha. Free HDD for me biggrin.gif

And congratulations Radagust! Finally ! biggrin.gif How'd you like it so far?

http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-not...uy-options.html

NP8690 was there, 3D Vision support. but they didn't put in NP8130. maybe This is a Lamp can try see if 3D Vision is supported by the notebook.
*
Drivers support Stereoscopic 3D. And is available as an option on my control panel. Does that indicate it supports it? Pretty new to 3D haha.

Wrong wrong Soundsyst!! tongue.gif

The pin is like that because I live in Australia. If you buy from SG or Malaysia, the pin will be the 3 pin British Plug like you normally use at home.

If you buy it from USA, the pin will be the USA rounded 3 pin.

Damnnn you're always unsure!! Just buy from Mucro already! biggrin.gif

Anyway, yes the NP8130 can have two HDD, but you have to sacrifice the DVD drive, and buy a SATA to SATA optical drive bay to replace it.

Congratulations! Did you get the GTX 485m with it? And welcome to LYN!

Both LAN and card reader are not detected.
Both USB3.0 are not working. All my USB3.0 devices couldn't be detected.
Only the 2 USB2.0 are working.

P/S I've tried drivers downloaded from Sager's website too. Not working.
*
Hmmm. That's very odd. Did Windows installed successfully for you?
Reinstalling Windows can help; maybe it didn't load generic drivers for your devices during its installation.
I'm suprised that in your device manager doesn't even mention any sign of the ports.

I'm currently at work now, so I don't have the chance to screenshot my device manager right now.

EDIT: I will ask notebookreview.com for some feedback on this situation too.

Aluene,

I got some feedback from notebookreview.com. 2 people suggested a reinstallation of Windows. Another suggested BIOS reflash.

All these have already been said here too haha. If all else fails then no choice but to return it and get a replacement sad.gif

yeah, it was between the np8130 and np8150, then the gtx 485 won me over, even though I had to sacrifice not getting too much upgrade for my np8150

Glad to hear someone is on the same boat as me smile.gif.

kahje man, you never cease to make me laugh everytime I come to this thread haha. Good on ya! smile.gif

Well, considering the NP8130 being such a value for money system...the demand is very high. And we haven't heard from Aluene yet sad.gif

owh. ok same website i found through google. i thought you found somewhere selling it for a cheaper price, like maybe a local store in your neighbourhood, then maybe somewhere in future can ask you to help buy instead haha
*
Well...Australia isn't the most technological advance nation. Custom laptops are non-existant here. Local stores do not sell good desktop parts, let alone laptops.

I asked for a 120W laptop adapter, they said "Huh, is there a laptop that has one?"

Many thanks for your assistance. I have solved the issue.
Many thanks to Mucro and Sager too.
It was caused by a bad bios.
A new bios flushes all the issues away.
My USB 3.0 / card reader / ethernet port are now working fine with the new bios (bios dated 14 Mar 2011) .

I did some testing on my low-latency ram modules. Sager has an excellent ram compatibility.
My ram modules can run up to 1866MHz  @ CL9.
Awesome... just very awesome.

Will do more testings in the next few days.

Good to hear that actually! smile.gif Hopefully like Radagust, you'll be enjoying it!

What do you guys think would be the battery life of the 8130 at half light only using word processing?
*
It sits at roughly 2 - 3 hours, most likely.

guys i wanna ask right....
i buy the laptop without OS..

so when it comes , will they install err..not so original for me or i have to install myself as i have an original unit?

Added on March 26, 2011, 2:57 amwtf..mucro just replied me at 3am..
*
Haha 3AM. Oh well, least you got your reply now.

Anyway, you have NOTHING on your HDD. Only driver CDs and manual. So you need an OS for yourself.

Oh, my caddy came by! Time to put new games and benchmarks on the user review! biggrin.gif

Got some game benchmarks up for the NP8150 today smile.gif Will add to reviews:

Starcraft II, extreme settings. 40 - 60 FPS. No stutters and no lag at all. Very very smooth infact. AI game 1v1:

Darksiders, no video settings with the assumption that it's at full settings. 40 - 90 FPS :

Darksiders is like God of War, except for PC. It's pretty interesting actually.

Updated the review with some new benchmarks biggrin.gif (Lost Planet 2, Pro Evo Soccer 2011, NBA 2K11, Starcraft II, Darksiders)

since u use high end gc its better if u try dam game also... just forgot about black ops since its normal only... try metro ...crysis 2 and other i forgot edy

Yep I am fully aware about Black Ops being normal. But there are people who are lacking in knowledge about how would Black Ops/DOTA/WoW run on this laptop. I mean, even though they are not demanding games, average users would be asking questions like "DOTA CAN PLAY AH?" or "HOW IF I PLAY RAID IN WOW, CAN?". I kinda dislike it, but have to deal with it haha.

Bulletstorm and Shogun Total War 2 will be in the list of benchmarks as well later on.
