if you talk about power cord, you can use normal cord that power up desktop computer/monitor.
if mention about power brick (a cable near the blue LED), well, you have to take care of it very carefully.

and a brand new power cord should not cost you anywhere more than rm10
dont you have any old power cord laying around ? like those from your old kettle, psu, monitor blah all also can work

the power cord is basically the same power cord you will get for most adapter (HP/ACER). When I got mine from LPC, forgot to them to give me UK based cable and not US, so they gave me the 2 pin ones instead. So I kinda check and seems to me that the power cable is the same with my Compaq 8510W. After like 2-3 days, bought it at Bukit Jambul (note: It is in Penang ) It is pretty easy to find one at LowYat

the size of it looks like a 2.5". Aren't 3.5" the desktop HDD, while notebook should be 2.5" ?

yeah 2.5" should be fine. the adapter i remembered was the intel x18 which was a 1.8", thus you might need adapter to change it to 2.5" to fit onto your laptop

I really dun understand why is Alienware's new series, M14x considered as gaming laptop?

It is running on 555m which is quite crappy in term of performance.

get a screwdriver that fits the screw and find the hdd compartment (i think besides the battery slot)

run a benchmark software to test, and compare result with tomshardware.com

anyway I'm very eager to do this one on my Sager

I have tried what that backlit video did...but the size of the inverter that converts the voltages to be used on the EL wire, is quite big; I could not fit that in the small compartment of the NP8150.

However, the EL wire runs through well inside, quite possible maybe.
