I got a feeling that paying for warranty in advance is not worth it.
I'd rather get an upgrade on the laptop and trust in Sager's quality then pay for the shipping cost warranty.

QUOTE(kpchoo29 @ Mar 12 2011, 07:17 PM) they told u ETA 3 weeks? How did you made the payment? What I did was when I clicked on checkout on mucro.asia is preorder (pay 10% now 90% when shipment of laptop arrive in singapore and proceed to ship to customer) I did it via Maybank2u. I chose DHL for the full insurance coverage. This post has been edited by okf987: Mar 12 2011, 10:01 PM

I believe all cubehub's in default does not come with free shipping warranty.
Notice the difference:
CubehubSager 1 Year Limited Parts and Labor Warranty (Both Shipment Cost by User)
CubeHub 1 Year ASEAN Limited Warranty (Both way Shipment covered) US warranty covered (add USD$120)
This is not shipping the product.

I dont think its free delivery. That option probably means that we are paying that shipping delivery we thought its free in advance.

Sent them an email about the same question.
Will post here if I get a reply.
Oh and if you guys dont mind why dont you all send an email to mucro and cubehub and ask them about this addon warranty thingy.
May prompt them to answer quicker.

QUOTE(SonicSpyro @ Mar 14 2011, 06:46 PM) Currently contemplating on getting a NP8150-S1 from Mucro but confused about the regional warranty thing. What's the main purpose. :confuse: QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ Mar 14 2011, 07:04 PM) Oh, you will enjoy discounts if you pay cubehub in USD (based from what i've heard.) Provided you do not use a Credit card to pay. Correct me if I am wrong.

Didn't you get the caddy that was suppose to be compatible with your laptop?
Or did you get your own bay?

QUOTE Under regional warranty. You pay to send to Singapore or Malaysia for servicing, We pay for the parts shipment to/from USA. This is a required step. We send it to you free after the item is fixed. You can send big or small items or walk into the service centre and have it looked at. You need to contact us for tech support first before we pay the service centre for you to look at the problem.
Under No warranty you pay to send to us plus you also have to pay for the US shipping of parts and laptop. Or you can send the entire thing yourself to the USA. There is no tech support. It is very expensive. For any serious problems, normally you have to send to the USA. The local servicing is useful when it is out of warranty and you can usually get cheaper servicing after warranty. You also normally need to put in a deposit before you get Sager to send anything to you if it is a small part that needs to be serviced. Message from Mucro.asia explaining their warranty.

QUOTE(This is a Lamp @ Mar 16 2011, 01:29 PM) Which one? NP8130 or NP8150? 8130 should have more battery life, in theory (with the GPU being 460m) But reportedly it's 2-3 hours long. Give me the weekend to sort many questions out haha and will put a big review up by the end of this week. Looking forward to it!

QUOTE(SonicSpyro @ Mar 18 2011, 11:50 PM) Just get a cheap laptop to help you get through Uni first. Grad and work. Then get a Sager. By then they would be way more powerful than they are now and the batteries would last longer I guess. Save the money for rainy days. Getting the laptop last year was a serious distraction. I agree. Please know moderation.
