If I were you, I wouldn't take the risk. Practically, I'm a type who think of long term investment (not very long lah of course). smile.gif Well, some 3rd party stuffs are reliable, yet, hmmmm. I'm just afraid it will cause short circuit or leakage, or I think too much? blush.gif

I could say Mr Heng offers a reasonable price. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1682281

You may try to hunt around RM150 too, be sure to check the box. And the sticker on the battery. All the best icon_rolleyes.gif

went for dinner yesterday.. practice food photography.. but i cant seem to get sharp enough focus =( I used my 18-55 on A mode with f/7.1, ISO 1600 and shutter speed of about 1/20... still cant get sharp focus sad.gif
*
lol, it's your problem, not tools problem. Try bigger aperture perhaps. I always do food photography and A mode all the time. Somehow I prefer using 18-55mm instead of 18-105mm.

Seems like a time for Nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4. Hmmm, as for the price... Damn I've forgotten, I asked before, Penang is the cheapest, RM1.6k if I'm not mistaken. In KL RM1.7k...

QUOTE(jieseak @ Feb 28 2011, 11:58 PM)
i'm new to nikon !
i'm looking for nikon d7000 as my previous canon
500D was stolen.

when i come to D7000 almost all my friends, forumers advised me to take the (body only) + (35mm lens). may i know whats wrong with the D7000 package that comes with 18-105mm lens??
*
I don't see any problem getting with the 18-105mm, provided you got lots of higher end lenses with you then different case. Unless they are complaining the quality of 18-105mm. However, why so weird, 35mm f/1.8? Can't do much with that lens. hmm.gif

Didn't consider Canon 60D? whistling.gif

That's true! Then you gotta try D70, the body like a gun, can repel one... That was the 1st thing I've noticed when I 1st got D70. rclxub.gif

hi all, is it worth if i sell my 18-105mm kit lens and buy tamron 17-50mm for wedding photography?
*
18-105mm serves me well for wedding photography. I would suggest you to get a prime lens instead. Likewise, this is just my opinion smile.gif

I have read a few reviews and watch a few videos on D3100.
Just want inquire some personal opinion from you guys, is D3100 good for Entry level and traveling purposes? Will it become obsolete in near future?
*
Technically, D3100 is a perfect choice for an entry level DSLR. With Full HD video recording, 3" LCD, 11 Focus Points and awesome ISO performance (I haven't really test with the ISO). If you compare with the Canon latest model - 1100D, you wouldn't see any spec which is better than D3100. whistling.gif

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Mar 2 2011, 06:24 PM)
FX lens very expensive meh? RM300+ also can get 1 already what whistling.gif
Correct me if I'm wrong tongue.gif
*
Can find a lot of FX lenses at the price range of RM300 lehhh! Exclude the 50mm f/1.8D, then they are the solid film era lenses brows.gif

is it better to go for d7000 or d700 and play with its DX lens compatibility? as it could use DX sensor crop as well.
