QUOTE(doremon @ Feb 28 2011, 08:28 AM) So far at Lembah Keramat area, I got 19.51mb/s for download and 17.39mb/s for upload. Quite consistent up till today. The white box outside my house (which connected to unifi) currently 2 ports occupied. I heard only 8 ports available for each white boxes right? So if the white boxes fully occupied meaning the speed will be a bit less? No? actually 16..Another thing, I heard 8 ports mean 8 for 8 houses. If once house gets 3, remaining 5. So how for the remaining houses want to install it in the future? Cause my brother going to get another VIP20 and my sister getting VIP20 as well. Each of us wants private speed lol. My family is download freak LOL |

Doremon, most of them are early subscriber that got the early batch of D-Link modem. D-Link modem are famous for its limited range of wireless signals and signals type distribution as N signal which causes most of the wireless devices unable to recognize b/g/h signal. It's also unstable and also facing frequent disconnections and overheating problem.
Needless to say, other RGs equipment out there is much more reliable than the current D-Link supplied by TM at the moment. Right now I am experimenting with the D-Link modem whether it can last more than a month without switching off. So far, no problems, no disconnections at all. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Mar 12 2011, 02:51 AM) For unifi bill, without any promotion, the first bill will be your pro-rated first month internet usage+next month advance payment for internet usage+RM40 of installation fee(200 in total, rm40 per month for first five month). If 1 month free, I'm not pretty sure but i think it's one month free for the first month while you're paying RM149 for the next month, in advance which means you pay before you use. So... If you got ur unifi installed close to end of the month, you rugi a bit. If yours is installed earlier, you earn because it's prorated (from the date you install to end of the month). *THIS IS JUST MY THOUGHT, SOMEONE PLEASE CLARIFY* First part was correct. First month was pro-rata. Let's say 1st month bill was RM49. Your subscribed package was RM149. So RM100 will be totally wasted right? Incorrect. Actually, the 2nd months which RM149 monthly package, u will get a discount of RM100. So the total bill after discounts/promotions would be RM49, which sums up of 2 months bill. |

QUOTE(blinky_w @ Mar 22 2011, 06:12 AM) hello guy It didn't matter. Just apply the Unifi, which is your migration from Streamyx account. Overrides those installation and account on your aunt house. So eventhough the previous tenant forgot to terminate their Streamyx, it was registered under different names/IC. Conclusion: It's OK. want to ask some weird weird question. im a registered streamyx user for over 2 years , so im moving to my aunt house in PJ (which she migrated to AU) and im trying to apply VIP10 package on that house. Checked the availability on that area but 1 thing bother me, the previous tenant was staying there around 5-6 years ago, kinda forget to terminate the streamyx and didn't pay the bill. So my question is will i have to clear the bill in order to apply install at PJ house? i been checking around , that i need some "geran" to prove that my aunt rented the house to me in writing form. Do i need my aunt signature? but since im a streamyx user , the profile or debt is based on the person that register the streamyx right? so it shouldn't affect me anyway? |

Nvm lor pls minus the ahem stuff lah bro. hahaha..Added on March 22, 2011, 11:38 am Cannotlah bro. Most of it 1080p file and naughty2 stuff also HEHE btw, if everything was connected, but the download is 0, it might be the connection to the host server was reset/cut off. which host file are u downloading from? using what?DDL?Torrent? QUOTE(VerM @ Mar 22 2011, 12:38 PM) at the moment, its better to keep track and records every changes in your speed and send it to unifi@tm.com.my so that u can show the proof that u are having unstable speed. later on, after issues resolved ask for rebate.. profit!Added on March 22, 2011, 11:49 am QUOTE(VerM @ Mar 22 2011, 12:38 PM) so putrajaya has its own exchange (precint 16?)...hmmm... any brilliant ideas? Precint 16 is in PUJ exchange. If connection unstable need to check whether FTTH or VDSLAdded on March 22, 2011, 11:41 am torrent or usenet? QUOTE(doremon @ Mar 22 2011, 12:50 PM) Boss, i using utorrent and inside there got 76 links to download. If 5 or 6 got 0bits I can understand. If 76 links got 0 WTH man lol..u just forced download them all? u know the DIR615 has multiple connections limitation right? Just set que the download, it will faster that way.Added on March 22, 2011, 11:51 am Most of them range 20 to 50 more over, what software did u use? utorrent? can check the logger? QUOTE(VerM @ Mar 22 2011, 12:55 PM) agreed, probably connection to the seeder/peer was reset RS/HF/MU? Most of the filehoster always got problems and can't even determine the fault was either from our side/TM side/filehoster side. U use DDL using any download manager?i hv no major problem with unifi just yet... only sometimes direct download from filehosting provider (premium) was not up to speed... occasionally i have to reset (or stop and on again) the downloading or if i'm in no mood i simply reboot the router for fresh ip... p/s: i stop use torrent a couple of years back (when the p2p throttle issue first arise). These days i rarely download anything even when i'm currently on vip20...but when there is a need i.e freebsd8.2, it was excellent... did it in less than 10mins... well, on VIP20 torrent usage or p2p throttle is not the issues since u can squeeze the speeds in no time. freebsd seeding is always fast bro. |
