QUOTE(vivre @ Feb 27 2011, 06:48 AM)
I had some pronlem with my unifi (Biz5/VDSL)

The internet was down last Thursday,so i did the standard troubleshooting; replugged the cable and restarted the modem/router but problem was not solved. I called Ubifi tech team, but they said the report could nit be created since my application was still procrssing. Frustated by the answer,i turned off both BTU/router..

When i was going to go to bed, which was about 30 minutes after the incident,i turned both equipment, and suprisingly, the internet went back online. I was very excited. However,it didnt last long as 5 minutes later, the internet went down again

The next day I lodged again a report with TM. They asked me to check on the phone for dial tone, and there was dial tone. She asled me to changed some setting on DLINK setup page (wireless channel,to be specific) and I did. But it didnt help to solve the problem.

Now,is my conclusion correct that the root cause is the router? How can I access the Huawei to check my DSL status and parameters? If i were to flash it with DDWRT,will it help tp solve it.. I dont have the IPTV, so not an issue. Plus ive been using DDWrt for many years.. And was very satisfied with it..

Anybody here has similar problem like me?

Thanks..

The TM guy came today, after more than 3 hours, they finally managed to nail the SOB. It was the Huawei modem.. Once it been swapped with new modem, problem fixed! Initially, the SNR was hovering about 8 dB, but later it went up to 30 dB.. hence the stability kicks in! smile.gif

Nope. I already check with them (The contractor, the Unifi CS, TMpoint etc2). The phone and everything they gave out is ours already. We can do anything that we want with it. That's y I quickly sell off the phone tongue.gif . Onlah RM150 can cover a bit on my first bill laugh.gif

Heard Unifi working on VIP30 and VIP45. When it will release drool.gif . VIP45 wow sure super download speed demon sweat.gif

anyone had problem accessing amazon.com using ip 110.x.x.x or 175.x.x.x ? Used few different PC's in my house and reconnect few times doesn't work for me.

But of course my other friend from other line / and use my DiGi broadband can access though.

Blocked by TM?

P/S : Tried ping the amazon, does not work , request time out. Tried access https:// , doesn't work either. Only way to go thru it is using proxy which basically screw up the website.

Got home last night, went to turn on Unifi (usually keep it off if not home)....no joy! But this is the worst ever...everything not working...phone,iptv,internet.

Did the normal procedure, calling unfi TS to lodge report, will have to wait. I wonder if it's the Huawei modem....hmmm....am from Bukit Antarabangsa.....anyone from the same area experiencing the same issues?

@scary clown, well....I off only like when I leave the house, then turn on when I get home for the whole night...

Didn't know by doing that, I can damage it.

Amazon is not the only site affected. Sites like groupsmore.com and farmville.com are also affected. This looks like a routing issue as sites which works goes to a different path than those which do not. AFAIK Streamyx users are not affected, even those nearby Unifi IP address ranges.

vip20 already rm250 liao and i dont think many ppl will even consider paying more than that.Unless they upgrade our existing package i dont see why higher speeds are workable and how about the cap that will be implemented?Maybe just do it like streamyx FUP and no cap will be great. biggrin.gif

Apparently all amazon hosted site such as foursquare.com amazon.com hootsuite.com manymoon.com all blocked by TM/ unifi since yesterday evening.
This is ridiculous I have almost 80 ppl in the office using the website hosted by amazon now they can't access - they can't work because of this problem..

TM, can u please fix this as priority......!!!!

BTW, i created new topic for this Unifi amazon connection issue here
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1774834

Please post if you are having the same issue. THANKS. hopefully this will get fixed quickly....
