QUOTE(chizzu @ Feb 20 2011, 01:58 PM) most probably deciding to go for insight I paint my car pearl white and it never gets yellow. Pearl white is as strong as Metallic or better.but pearl white will go yellowish after a while? Still thinking either blue or white :3 but this can be changed later i guess? the SA that attended me the other day is not working today so maybe i will go back some other day to do the full test drive before deciding QUOTE(Lennox @ Feb 20 2011, 02:00 PM) Anyone heard before the coming Honda Insight CR-Z? The honda seller told me it will be announced at end of this year Yeah, but 2 seat. |

Good to see so many people booked the insight. I booked a pearl white for my wife last month, expect delivery in 3 months from now. The SA from Kah Motor is good, giving RM500 rebate from his own commission. I have the same views as most people do, rear view, rear head room, but overall package at RM98k is very good, 2.7% 3 years 50k loan public bank.
Now planning to put eibach spring, modulo bodykit, vkool, leather seats, hid, and touch screen DVD. |

u kenot put ford tdci to compare with insight...diesel car naturally has buck load of torque...to makes things better they always fit diesel engines with a fairly small turbo so tat it boost the torque figure even more...if plainly just wan to drive with high torque,go for a 4x4...their 2.5 turbocharged engine will really giv u TORQUE...my daily driven work car is a Frontier...diesel run on very low rpm...and the power delivery are always around 2k-3.5k rpm...revving more than tat u can hear the engine screams but the car wont move any faster
i went to honda actmar just now...lots of people waiting for test day so i arrange another day...overall the car looks ok...the rear passenger roof is really LOW...i'm just 170cm and my hair is touching the roof already...boot is prestty decent but not comparable to honda city the interior feels plasticky but from touch and knock it seems tat japanese use better quality plastics....and actually by using plastic only then they can achieve weight saving, which contributes to fuel economy....like the rear spare tyre they use styrofoam which i think is a very good idea which makes it simply and light yet pratically functional.... Honda city type R has the same thing for weight saving purposes and comes with no spare tyres This post has been edited by Yong_5290: Feb 20 2011, 06:02 PM |

The Econ button features seem wonderful!
When the button is ON, and you're at traffic light, the petrol engine totally cut off... ZERO RPM... when the minutes you release the break, the Petrol engine jump back... |

a short review, done a comprehensive test drive in puchong today, served by a good salesperson, and able to have a test drive as i'm there before lunch time, nobody is there yet.
Interior QUality: Good, better than city, as it has all the bell and whistle like full auto aircon, a lot of display and trip computer, a floating speedometer(color changing),headlight leveling. Dark color tone, with flawless fitting, VSA, cruise control, a long list and features not even in accord 2.4 . auto wiper and headlamp. Safety: Flawless, with long list of features that is not even on 2.4 accord, but too bad 2 airbags only, i remember it should be 4, but i might be expecting too much. (or honda need to make a little profit too Speed: to be frank, due to 4 person in the car, the car feels like myvi, no i cant feel the 200nm torque no matter how hard i stepped and even after disable the econ mode, nope, its not a fast car. i guess partly due to CVT gearbox also. I can only say, its better than myvi, but not better than city/vios. Power still need to burn fuel. Drive: Nimble and light steering( previous gen City is better weighted), and handles well in the corner ( though my passenger was shocked by the way i drive), its all under control and feels confident. Cabin feel : front seat feels airy, but rear seat is very very tight. Its worse than vios, city, myvi. For a 170cm person to sit nicely in front, the person 170 cm at back risk the knee touching the front passenger seat. middle seat is not for adult, only for very small kid, as it will block the rear view totally. But not many car's middle seat can seat ppl anyway. One problem is no cup holder/armrest at rear. Expecting that. Boot space: I can only say, its a hatchback, and the space is better than myvi, but, worse than 308, ford focus. Pls dont compare to sedan, lol. BUt they give a trunk cover, which is good. FC: well, its at least 20km/l, but, are you willing to sacrifice space ( rear and boot) & Fun ( SPeed=fun) for FC? if you do, then, this is perfect. Verdict: if you have a small family, or you're tired of vios/city, go buy this car. THis will not replace city or vios due to space, and the good FC is contributed by smaller engine and battery. Less power, less fun But i think with VIos/city advantages(cabin size and boot), insight cannot grab too many sales from this. Its perfect for city driving, and asking for fun and speed is not justice i think the look and the tax free part is convincing enough for most to place the booking. Worry: Battery & CVT. ------------------ no flaming pls, above are just my opinion This post has been edited by turbocharged: Feb 20 2011, 07:02 PM |
