QUOTE(ckk125 @ Feb 15 2011, 11:50 PM) what does langkawi has to do with cars in peninsula? not that you are staying in langkawi right? well, i think he meant that manufacturer expect to sell Insight higher than Hybrid.i get it that it is almost tax free, but what it has to do with comparing the price? QUOTE(eric84cool @ Feb 15 2011, 11:51 PM) Eh, how come insight price is differ rm10k with Langkawi price? I thought the import duty tax waived? RM10k is sales tax. Not import tax. |

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Feb 16 2011, 11:36 PM) Test drove the insight today. The verdict is solely according to my style of driving. I own both '08 City and the current one. KL people get to drive this car first is not fair. - Feels like something in between those City's. CVT is better. Power is there. I feel its accelerates faster than current city. - Power is adequate if you know how to play with the throttle to get the most out of the CVT. I drove CVT city for nearly three years. - Even with spirited driving the fuel consumption meter showed 11.xkm/L. And the car only clocked less than 300km. I'd say this is very very good considering the engine is not run in yet. - Reached 140km/h with ease. I think the car is good enough for highway cruising. - Handling is good. Though body roll is there around the same level as the city. Maybe due to wider tyres, the car seems much more precise and grippy during cornering. - Interior is great as with almost all of Honda cars. Though I'd have to agree that the headroom is a bit lacking. - Rear seats are a bit hard same as most recent honda cars e.g City and CR-V. - Cockpit is hightech and fancy. Feels like playing a computer game. More buttons than usual. Might be a bit distracting at first when you don't know which information you want to be displayed. - I'd say it is a bit quieter than the current city. - Good sound system. - Comes with Bridgestone Turanza tyres. IINM a good enough tyre. - 16" rims that looks a lot better than Prius' - Made in Japan Downside - Long waiting period. I've been told 4-5 months - ECON mode is limiting. I reckon most would turn this off unless you are in a heavy traffic jam. I didn't find anything weird when driving. And i didn't take a look at the maintenance cost etc. Just driving experience. And I admit I am a bit biased towards honda. I would recommend the car for a small family, those who drives through traffic jams everyday. And in summary, I never thought I would like this insight as I do now. |

I can see that GoGO2 is a hardcore fan of Honda Hybrid car... What i can say is different people will have a different mind set. I have been driving Honda Civic Hybrid and i feel that Honda Technology is awesome. And the power and Torque is there. I am sure that all the Honda Insight buyer will not be disappointed with Honda Technology. How many Car manufacturer managed to get into F1 sport? QUOTE(debbierowe @ Feb 17 2011, 09:18 AM) yea, thanks, i think i have faith in HOnda keeping their quality of service did u refuse the MyVi or you just accept it?so far my dad was very satisfied with the toyota SA when he bought his camry but the worst SA anyone could ever encounter was the one that we bought a Myvi few years back, where during handling over the car, car + SA disappeared, the SA used our new car for weeks before give it to us, plastic cover on seat all gone too... worst nightmare |

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Feb 17 2011, 10:36 AM) I'm surprised you accepted the car anyway. You have every right to reject the car. Yeah, I believe we can ask the odometer to be less than 10km and also the plastic still cover the seat. And Honda policy now is, customer need to fetch their cars themselves from the dealer. This is to ensure that the customer receive the car in almost new condition. My CR-V only clocked 6km when I get it. This should be the practice for all car dealers today. |

QUOTE(lovencare @ Feb 18 2011, 12:52 PM) depends on the queue i guess. if she has no customers definitely will do longer trip. but i'm planning to do 2 different test on today and tomor: 1st, with just me and the SA, for performance. 2nd, with another 2-3 frens fully loaded. to gain max satisfaction from it. oh, he told me can try climb Bukit Jambul hill also. QUOTE(ckk125 @ Feb 18 2011, 01:29 PM) no such thing Almost tax free is good reason to buy Insight lol...Added on February 18, 2011, 1:30 pmwent and see the car in the showroom... from far, looks great, sat in driver's seat, almost complete except for the door feeling hollow. Then when sit behind, it is so cramp, can even knock head if going out from the car. It is a good car, for town car, but alil too small for traveling. and, almost tax free. Anyway, I go test drive Alza just now... I scared I buy Insight now, later regret too small |
