yup, which is disappointing as I've said earlier,
but to be fair, HTC hasn't really shown their ace yet,
at least not the rumored Pyramid

Will do..Thx guys

Btw I have installed apps2sd.. and uninstalled all apps that uses phone memory..still like dat..oh waiiiiiii

Lol still like what?

The full storage notification is it?

It takes awhile to kick in, if impatient then reboot lor.

Real values check Settings-->SD & Phone Storage

As long as your phone storage is above 15mb it won't pop up.

Hi,
very new desire user here..

i noticed, my desire get hot after play game for a while..is it normal??
and, battery drain very fast ma..
*
Very normal.
All smartphones also lidat. (Don't count lower ends running pixelated games [Snake] Lulz)

Yeah battery drains faster when it's hot.
Balance the heat a bit then won't drain so fast lor. (At least that's what I do)

I feel that SIS should have a Warranty checker to see how long you have left for your warranty like Apple does

“To also help with Battery Life you can do these steps exactly: 1) Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more 2) Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour 3) Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour Your battery life should almost double, we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well”

Added on February 21, 2011, 12:56 amI found a way that help those who are using new batteries, when you got the battery, use it until your phone cant be switch back on then only charge it with full 8 hours time, after that you will feel your battery more stable and more better..do it 3 times and you do not need to do it anymore...battery power will be more stable..i had tried it and it works~  rclxms.gif

The effect that you dont do it when you had the new batteries or currently who are facing this battery problem, you will notice that when you switch on your phone and you try to connect the wifi or mobile data, you will notice from the 100% will drop very fast in seconds or minutes, anyway its damn fast that you will "SHIT"...but after the method, you will notice your battery power can be better and it wont drop that fast anymore...especially if you are using mobile data cause that drains more power than wifi~  drool.gif

Try it and it wont hurt.. rclxm9.gif

Did you know that in a cold room I can play a good game for 2 hours without hitting below 50% battery ? biggrin.gif

erm...this type of battery safe or not??? I dun wanna my HTC Desire exploding in my pants....sweat.gif...
*
Should be safe 1 lar lol

Those don't happen around the clock tongue.gif

As long as no SC/Overheat no problem one.

If you feel unsafe, then go check up the manual/datasheet of the battery.

China-brand batteries I only worry about the mAh rate tongue.gif or non long-lasting Li-i which is quite common sleep.gif my friend bought once it works nice but after like 6-9 months lifespan drop lol.

Sometimes you could've been paying just because of branding you know biggrin.gif

It's like Tesco batteries with Energizer/Those well-known brands.
They both produce results but which 1 can really last? tongue.gif

Does using other mini usb cable spoil the phone? Lazy to uplug from the charger everytime wana transfer data.
*
It's not mini usb, it's called micro usb cable.

HTC's micro usb cable is proprietary so you can't just use any other cable. (Unless stated)

Hi All

Does anyone know where can I get the case for my HTC Desire?

I would like to get those cases which has some design, fancy, or stylish.. biggrin.gif
*
As far as I know, those fancy designs for hard casing aren't available here. Only in US.

I'd suggest Casemate Tough but I don't think it's the right choice for your 'current' needs biggrin.gif

Go Garage Sales and look for Gelaskins. Expensive but stylish.
Ordinary cases look for Resin ? I don't remember.
Casemate barely-there is also decent.

Make a post on Garage sales I'm sure salers will surely PM you kao kao rclxms.gif

If you want stores then choices are limited, there aren't many stores selling Casemates (maybe that shop recommended by ApisJay? at Kota Damansara in V8)

Micro USB is standard lar....i use micro USB cable from my Samsung Wave 2 to connect the HTC Desire to PC all the time...there is only 1 microUSB standard...the whole idea is to move away from propriatery cables.
