Smalling did nothing wrong last night, IMO. One of the best defenders in our squad, easily. He performed very well during his spell to deputize Rio. Well, anyway, Vidic's out of next match. Brown - Smalling partnership it is. Smalling is quite good in the air, IMO. Not as colossal as Vidic lah.

I reckon that SAF might go for 4-5-1. But then, we don't really have enough personnel in the mid. Berbatov might play and lead the line and Rooney to be pushed to the flanks. Especially, after what has happened tonight.

Yeah no doubt but the point is, i don't think Smalling to brown is a fair comparison.

fatigue might be one of the cause that made our players lose concentration in the 2nd half. the other one is because our players afraid of losing that 1-nil lead and decided to seat back.

yeah. i always hate the game against those relegation battlers. they will fight like there's no tomorrow for them.
i noticed that but somehow i feel that Carrick and Fletcher wants to play safe so that they won't lose possession to Chelsea. that fear have limited their intention on playing 1st touch football. just my 2 cents only.
yeap. Evans still injured. With Liverpool currently short on left position staff, SAF might be able to use Rafael to exploit that opportunity. unless KD decided to play Johnson on the left.
Agree, so far Smalling have done quite well in the absence of Rio. With Andy Carroll currently on the verge of playing against us, it will be a test for young Smalling. Carroll would prove to be handful; strong, quick. hopefully smalling can come on top against Carroll. Suarez will pose a threat with his skills and pace. no doubt about that.

Where got lah? according to some football expert, travelling around in england isn't tiring. playing 2 professional matches in the space of 3-4 days are nothing. tongue.gif I reckon that he doesn't even know that teams travel by buses. by taking a train, manchester - london will take 2 hours. and that is by taking a fast train. what about buses? even most of us would complaint to sit idly in 2 hours flight. they are professionals but they aren't robots.

that's why i said 'might'. obviously our players did switched off in the 2nd half. yeah, i've travelled to Manchester from London using train. almost 2 hours if i'm not mistaken. i guess u're right. not tiring at all. but i don't know the length of journey if travel by bus.

obviously, it was a sarcasm lah. tongue.gif of course it will effect them.

i was 1 of the people who thought Chris Smalling does not justify his price tag and the 'perebutan' between Arsene Wenger and Alex Fergueson. and by watching the highlights of his earlier performances with you guys, i though 'yeah, we dodge a massive waste of GBP there'

but i have to admit, watching him for the first time in full match last night i'm beginning to see why 2 of the best managers in BPL fighting to get him. should known better than to doubt AW and AF eh? can only hope that this won't turn out to be another C.Ronaldo case for us
*
He is a rough diamond still. Needs to be polished more. Far from the finish article. But yeah, turning a very good signing for us. Same case can be said with Bale, we were playing tug-o-war with Spurs back then but Bale chose Spurs. What a fine player he is these days.

yeah, he is far from the finished article but the talent is so obvious whoever doesn't see it is just trolling.

i guess we all have our share of transfer war victory. we have it with Aaron, you guys with Smalling and Sp*rs with Bale. though i have this feeling that Bale will however ended at Old Trafford anyway
*
Are you sure? tongue.gif

I don't know because Spurs is one world class striker away to be included in top teams. They have done very well in their first outing of CL(is this right? Some please enlighten me?) And if it does happen, he will come with a premium price tag. Plus, I don't think Harry will let him and Modric go easily. (Yes, I fancy Modric laugh.gif)

thats the inception type of reality wakakaka biggrin.gif

a few posts back some one said about us having less consistency....well you got to be kidding right.if we werent consistent some one else would have run with the league back then in x'mas.were still the team to beat and thats the  mother of all consistency.

lets see who bucks first in the remaining games for all the teams tho were said to have the toughest fixtures but looking what weve done last night its a very overrated word this "toughest games"

We have yet to see Brown - Smalling partnership in a game before. Hopefully everything will be all right.

*I just remember we always had injury crisis/suspension in the 2nd half of the season.
*
Bukan sudah ke? In FA Cup? I think. Or I might be wrong. Eh sudah lah. The one we won 1-0 to Brown's header kan?

Ala biarkan aje la bebudak tu datang sini troll. How often MU kalah season ni? Baru kali ke-2 kan? Of course la dorang nak berusaha untuk troll kuat kuat because team dorang lagi teruk? Kalah brape kali tah. At home and away lagi tu. So, jangan dilayankan sangat bebudak tu. Cam pyro cakap, when it comes to United, everything is being blown out proportion. tongue.gif

Expect David Luiz tak kena ape2 tindakan. Because, it is always like that.

Sir Alex Ferguson faces ban over comments made about referee | Football | The Guardian
QUOTE
"You hope you get a really strong referee in games like this," he said. "It was a major game for both clubs and you want a fair referee, you know ... You want a strong referee, anyway, and we didn't get that. I don't know why he's got the game. I must say that, when I saw who was refereeing it, I feared the worst."

A possible 2-3 match touchline ban for SAF.

We didn't pay enough lagi ke? laugh.gif

Graham Poll: Incorrect decisions cost Manchester United
Graham Poll: Incorrect decisions cost Manchester United 02 March 2011 - 08:19 | Sport.co.uk
QUOTE
Former Premier League referee Graham Poll concurred with Sir Alex Ferguson’s post match assessment that Martin Atkinson’s big decisions during the Chelsea versus Manchester United match at Stamford Bridge had cost the Red Devils.

Poll suggests his former colleague got the majority of the big decisions wrong during the crucial Premier League encounter, intimating Ferguson had reason to be angered by some of the officiating during the match.

Citing John Terry’s hand-ball in the first half which should have resulted in a penalty and David Luiz’s fortune at staying on the pitch, Poll claims Ferguson is right to feel aggrieved.

Poll told the Daily Mail: “Referees are remembered for their big decisions in big games. Unfortunately Martin Atkinson got some wrong on Tuesday night and they cost Manchester United.

“Atkinson failed to deliver consistency in similar incidents, the basic requirement for match officials.

“In the first half, Manchester United were denied a penalty when John Terry handled a shot from distance. Although his hands were by his side, the ball travelled a long way and Terry ensured that the ball did not pass - a clear offence. Nothing was given.

“However, when Yury Zhirkov took the opportunity to go over Chris Smalling's outstretched leg, Atkinson had no hesitation in awarding the home team a spot kick. It was soft, but just about the correct call.

“An even clearer example came when David Luiz deliberately tripped Wayne Rooney off the ball - a clear cautionable offence.

“As he had already been cautioned, Luiz should have been dismissed. Nemanja Vidic was not afforded such tolerance later in the game.

“Last Saturday, Manchester United coach Mike Phelan asserted that 'you can't dispute a referees' decision'. After this display by Atkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson is unlikely to agree.”

This guy had a beef with SAF after SAF's comments towards him seasons ago but surprisingly, he clearly thinks that Atkinson was poor.

Owen Hargreaves to leave Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer

Well if this news deemed to be true then we might buy someone in the summer. We always operate with 5 midfields, right? Scholes, Carrick, Fletcher, Hargreaves and Gibson. Gibson's place is a place for youngsters actually. We promoted them from reserves and u18 teams. Scholes has not said anything regarding his extension right? Man, this could be worrying.
