Yokohama tyres are 'thicker than other brand for the same profile. I've used falken 912 50 series tyres and my ride is lower compared when using yokohama.

QUOTE(JeffreyYap @ Mar 3 2011, 10:19 PM) impossible.. we always hang out and check car.. and he wont lie me haha. Sad case... i spent 6k he spent 0... lol right. Since yours is neo, why not upgrade the ECU with the one sold by R3?Anyway, I really suggest you go for dyno to see whether your A/F ratio is ok or not since if its too rich, you will lose power. |

QUOTE(JeffreyYap @ Mar 4 2011, 01:25 PM) You already got piggy-back installed? Didn't they tune it during installation? Added on March 4, 2011, 2:29 pmTested my new PS3 on twisted roads and the grip is awesome. At first I also a bit sceptical because the thread design is not really 'aggressive'. QUOTE(mrl @ Mar 4 2011, 03:00 PM) daym, my front tires skidded till understeered in multistorey carpark of my office @ 20km/h... New tyres perhaps? no wonder the tires always screeching for grip inside there... the surface really is low grip one... topped it up with wet condition after rain, quite a recipe for disaster... |

QUOTE(JeffreyYap @ Mar 4 2011, 10:48 PM) They tuned it for me already.. RM1599. I complained and i mentioned i use Ron97 instead of 95 (Then he said, yalo, i tuned for you that time you were on Ron95, so you use back Ron95 your car will powerful already).. Hmm got such thing? Lol.. I played with my friend's civic i was on 97.. So i will try 95 and see how. Is the piggyback capable of adjusting ignition timing? If it does, them its possible that using different ron level will effect the performance. My RPM when idle is below 1k, before tune, is above 1.1 to 1.2k. Ya more responsive.. Maybe tune until my engine more responsive instead of giving me hp? Lol sigh. About the hp, there's a saying ' horse power sells cars, torque wins races'. |

QUOTE(mrl @ Mar 5 2011, 01:42 AM) Conti SportContact-1... somehow I got the feeling it performed slightly under par compare to Silverstone Kruizer NS700 (yes, I dont know it doesn't make sense... I'm still scratching my head)... but since I used different wheels previously, it might be the cause too... but this rubber does screeching more often in low grip surface compare to Silverstone Kruizer NS700... Change to michelin ps3 bro. No regret. |

Just re-check my tyre and notice that a pair is actually 2010 tyres. But although its a good tyres, the price is really expensive. I wouldn't even considered this tyre before being offered the rm330 price.
About the upgrade/modding, imo its a hit and miss, try and error. If lucky all those thing work in 'hormony'. And yes, don't put expectation too high since modding na car is expensive for what we get. If really want power, bot your ride. Its the best value for money upgrade. |
