There is one part that states : Meego were highly unsatisfactory.. To me i agree.. Even when they present the phone in some conference, it was laggy on 1.5Ghz of processor |

Yeah just to add on.. more than thousands of employees walked off Nokia..
And anyone here major in computing or programming? Maybe we could homebrew our own Meego using the existing source code.. I will be very free after june... |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Feb 12 2011, 12:47 PM) MeeGo development including Handset UX will continue. This much has been confirmed by people who are leading the project. I expect 1.2 to be available for N900 in due time. Anyway,Google already start offering job at Symbian,MeeGo or any other Nokia engineers Smart move Google.Strike it when your opponent is distracted. Maybe we would see a Meego device with Google engraved behind? Like what happened to Nexus one.. Anyways sifu know where to change the quicklaunch menu? for example the /etc/systemui/systemui.xml is where u change the menu for power button Then where is the file to edit to change the menu in the menu where you connect to internet and stuffs |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Feb 14 2011, 05:32 PM) Basic difference: I would go for Huawei's tablet.. 300 usd.. seems kinda cheap to me.. was targeting motorola xoom, but too expensive..Maemo : Written with C & C++ Android : Written with C,C++ & Java Maemo is more like mobile version of desktop debian(linux OS) while Android is a real mobile focused OS. http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/blog/2...-12-alpha-exopc Looking good. But I'll still rate webOS based HP Slate as better 1. Added on February 14, 2011, 8:27 pmIntel talks Medfield: will ship in a phone and have the longest usage time Intel hit the jackpot! Provided they really beat ARM's power consumption, some of the manufacturers will start yo adopt Atom SOC. Active usage up to 3 times than "regular" device...That's almost 20+ hours full blown browsing & stuff. And... no full source code for the N900 huh? Oh yeah i realised one thing.. When u flash both the emmc and rootfs, some settings are not deleted. For example after i flash the rootfs and emmc, when i redownload the FM widget button, it is automatically set to 100.8 which is my setting before reflashing Anyone knows why? |

Hmmm..
Anyone knows where we can demo the Meego Netbook? It would be totally different without touchscreen Haven't read the details abt the Fujitsu netbook but I would assume the screen wouldn't be a touchscreen.. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Mar 3 2011, 05:22 PM) Dang. Wonder if my E71 can join lol, now that it's FINALLY out of the hospital (took it TWO MONTHS!). try ssh-ing using linux terminal and you will have a full physical keyboard to terminal ur phoneOn a totally untwisted note, currently theming an modding every nook and cranny of my TelefonSaya. It needs a dual pane version of iFile stat to aid my modding - terminal'ing with no hardware keys is excruciating. And it's reminding me of my N900 days somehow *cry* I miss my N900. |
