QUOTE(hbau @ Apr 21 2011, 09:40 PM) i am using one now... with heavy usage of internet OTA and wifi and games plus some hours on standby mode, i am getting 24hours of it.with standby mode only without internet connection, wifi disabled and no games, im getting 1.5 day. however, the actual rating that i get from a battery graph software, shows max only 1221ma. so in terms of the power, i think its true that u can only get like 2/3 of the acclaimed power. |

bro super_evil_alien,
i've read thru..and yes i agree that maemo flasher will be best for maemo devices. i wanted to try that also, but since my fon is still in good running condition, i dont want to go itchy hand for now. hahaha but surely will try again maemo flasher the next time i brick it. btw, the diff that i can see between maemo flasher and phoenix, maemo flasher is cmd line, phoenix is gui. |

QUOTE(Bushido @ May 29 2011, 07:36 PM) Guys, those of you who have recently updated your power user linux kernel for OC-ing purposes to v47.. you might be aware that your battery life might be deteriorating quickly.. well for mine, it did.. even at idle it goes from 100%-70% in an hour plus. just wondering if this got to do with my prob. mine have a habit of full CPU usage from 1300 to 2000 everyday even if its only in standby mode and all communication are being disabled. during this period, it will drain out my battery.it was a module from the kernel (bq27x00_battery) screwing up with your stock kernel's power management.. it's just giving false results for both discharge and recharge rate... it would appear that your phone is fully charged but in reality it's not. It's all here. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=71879&page=61 In short if this happens to you, just simply run this in your terminal: echo "blacklist bq27x00_battery" >>/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist and reboot. *im not responsible for anything k, just thought i'd share because it worked for me.* i manage to capture the usage using battery monitor tool. |

QUOTE(Bushido @ May 30 2011, 11:51 PM) hi,i did... same result from conky... the only process that ate up my cpu is from /usr/bin/browserd. i dunno what is that... but it seems my cpu process is low when i use the fon instead of during standby. any recommendation? or what is browserd? |

QUOTE(versustheversed @ Jun 5 2011, 11:51 PM) no i mean when i dont have ready access to electrical point. to charge my phone every 4-5 hours is irritating. before, battery could last 2-3 days with normal usage. what gives? i think u r having the same problem with me... got some ghost internal process that eats up my cpu....Added on June 5, 2011, 11:52 pm QUOTE(Rock Kapak Karat @ Jun 6 2011, 12:04 AM) hi guys.. quite normal... for original set. thinking to own one??? hehehe... sorry of topic.. how much this phone now? i see at seremban, selling Rm1680 for zitron n avaxx.. Is normal price? just now i went to alam central in s.alam... was thinking to grab a new fon or tablet... but end up didnt buy anything coz no superbly superior device compare to n900... galaxy tab / ipad - cool device, but 7 inch is a hassle galaxy s - nice display, but n900 can have android blackberry/ iphone - cool iconic fon aka trendy and hip... but most of the good apps are expensive, n900 98% good apps are free. QUOTE(mashimarow @ Jun 6 2011, 07:27 AM) 1680 is a bit too high, original Nokia outlet only sold 1535, besides this phone already obsoleted, cut his price down well i think it really depends la. if u go to nokia shop, like the one at my place, they still stick to the original price, which is around rm19++. but if u scout around, if u r in luck u can get around rm1.1k ori set. so best bet is to scout around first.Added on June 6, 2011, 10:27 am QUOTE(versustheversed @ Jun 6 2011, 01:03 AM) uninstall the few most recent stuff ever since the prob occur. run the "killall browserd" cmd, as suggested frm prev page. * special thanks to those who guide me. and try not to go offline, i dunno y going offline makes the browserd ate up the cpu, some bugs i guess. QUOTE(versustheversed @ Jun 7 2011, 12:42 AM) i turned off all connectivity. network mode set to GSM (2.5). i think retro_rave got it right. there's some internal application draining my battery. i just dont know what and how to stop it. just an update... i had just upgrade to power kernel v47.... my battery now last more than 24 hours with normal usage (wifi, 3g surfing, gaming, texting and phone). it seems that this update fixed the cpu usage leakage problem. |
