I'm not sure what happened to my battery, but today for 8hrs i still have 99%, with :

- Only Wifi (ON and OFF every 15 minutes)
- Email checks every 15 mins
- No games/browsing
- 2G only

Normally with the same usage, 8 hrs = 93% left

ahhh coz based on your screen capture there is a spike in the battery indicating it's being charged plus on the battery it shows the icon with the lightning that's why I asked. Pretty impressive considering everyone is getting much lesser than that

Yea.. no choice but to plug in the USB. The moment that happens.. the phone auto charges. I think the reason im getting quite good numbers is due to my screen not actively turned on most of the time when using apps or games.

hahha.. got such title meh biggrin.gif .. my result did not appear as official battery performance as i only use my sensation on WIFI and with 2G but somehow today the battery acts differently, normally after 11am, it will reduce from 100% to 99%.. but today until 3.30pm it stays at 100%

i was a bit worry bcos happened once to my previous phone as battery stays at certain % for long time, at the end battery kong biggrin.gif

I noticed the main thing app that is killing our battery is our 3G due to inconsistency from the network , switch between 2G and 3G

I am not quite impressed with
mine. Never reach above with 2mbps .I am on celcom

reached average 1.5-2.0 but peaked few times at 6Mbps on maxis HSPA.. in my room which is sucky on maxis, my old DHD gets less speed and signal.. i must say sensation is better in terms of signal.. data and gsm is not affected by deathgrips on mine

True also. Must try switching to 2G permanently.

25/05/2011, Taiwan, Sharp Panel.

To people who want to find it on their phone:

enter "dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.txt" into Terminal Emulator, then open that text file and search for "panel".

I dont use my phone so much during working hour (especially morning), got a lot of work to do smile.gif.

BUT as i mentioned previously the battery acts differently today biggrin.gif

Yeah I noticed sensation saves a hell lot of power when leaving the phone on standby, regardless if your WiFi is on or not.

I once achieved like 8 or 9 hours time and the batt life stays at 100% too.

Yup, it has been stated in Engadget review

QUOTE
Our testing, however, showed the Sensation to be more efficient when not actively in use -- which, even for intensive smartphone users, tends to be the majority of the time -- granting it a higher ceiling for battery life

asychronous cpu process dude.. the 2nd core perhaps can be idle upon standby and when its not needed to run.. some say this is the reason why sensation falls behind in benchmarks (next to reason of being qHD) since the cpu is sorta lazy due to being too efficient and not working at full throttle.. haha
