Danish wonderkid Christian Eriksen says he would turn down a move to Liverpool and would only leave Ajax for Barcelona. The 19-year-old, who has a contract with Ajax until 2014, impressed for Denmark in a recent friendly with England and has been identified by Liverpool’s sporting director Damien Comolli as a possible summer target. However, Eriksen said: “If I got an offer from Liverpool right now, I believe I would reject it. “Ajax is a good club for me at the moment and I believe it will be that for a couple of years. “If I did move, it would have to be to FC Barcelona.”

QUOTE(kazuki85 @ Mar 10 2011, 03:33 PM) Yeah man I duno what is their problem. See Ibrahim Affelay. See Bojan. Heck, I may even think if Fabregas stays in Barca in his youth days, he won't be as good as what he is now. Maybe there's something on the Barca bench that we don't know of? the seats are recaro's...thats why

QUOTE(RedSiglap56 @ Mar 11 2011, 03:12 PM) Lucas is what Carra was. I well remember the jeers that greeted Carra whenever he played because he used to be such a bungling defender. I think it was Houllier who persisted with him, and just look at him these past 6 to 8 years! If I was the manager, I would have given up on such players. That's why I still think that Roy Hodgson is not such a bad manager. I remember how eye-brows were raised when he made Lucas captain during pre-season and kept using him as the season progressed. I am one of those who didn't like Lucas. I felt he was such an unusual Brazilian player : devoid of skill, flair and balance, and wondered how he ever won "Young player of the year" at one time. I suppose one should never write off a young player too quickly. carra was bad under houllier coz he kept played him as a fullback..when rafa came he convert him to centerback...thats when his performance improved

QUOTE(cherroy @ Mar 11 2011, 04:38 PM) Carra was not bad when play as fullback, in term of defensive duty wise, he performed well. It was the ability of overlapping, putting cross in, aka the attacking wise that make people feel he was bad. Just like Mascherano was played at RM, resulted players strength is not fully utilised. Every player has his own strength. You only get best out of player if you him at right position. Not every player is a utility type of player and can perform whenever being told to play at where. and the right position for carra is CB not fullback..lets juz say that he dont offer much when he played as a fullback..he's a decent fullback at best

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Mar 14 2011, 08:00 AM) Here we go. Coverage from the game yesterday. Seems a small section of away fans had one too many to drink eh? I do recall the stadium announcer stating that queues for booze were really long. Then again, maybe they were just classless? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...er-Anfield.htmla game for families to watch marred by disgusted attitude of united fans singing bout heysel & hillsboro..i'm sooooo not surprised..since we battered them 3-1,they become even bitter towards us Added on March 14, 2011, 8:45 amQUOTE(leaF @ Mar 13 2011, 10:12 PM) http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news...ds-we-re-scaredalmost get me in tear..liverpool fc is not just a football club... that carroll header was goal bound..but was block by kuyt's head!!...arghhhhhhhh!!...on another note, this game proved we need more technically gifted players who can beat his man when arsenal can thrashed them 6-0,thats juz show how gerrard & suarez missed..no creativity at all..they juz mati akal when braga tightly marked our players..the only way to move the ball forward is by hoofing it!
