Added on February 9, 2011, 4:22 ami have never disappointed with Nokia. With SE yes, a really big YES. I owned K810i last time, but after that, no SE phone have a good function. Moreover, Nokia changed to Symbian 5th Edition (N5800XM) rather than Symbian 60th. Now, Symbian^3 is better platform. Even is not on par with Android or iOS, but c'mon, even i clueless with Android and iOS platform. Sometimes need to learn to give and take.

Guys, why when i connect my office wifi, it says connected, but when i want to surf it say invaild server...

Actually u cant blame symbian...Symbian has too many phone to upgrade, android just come out software, the rest is customized by the phone manufacturer. Ios has only 4 or 5 phones only...so easy for them. I believed so.

How to solve this problem as my notebook can connect and can surf maaaa...

already managed to install bubbles..
for those who tried to install but it states 'unable to delete file'
pls quit all the background apps first, then try and install..
it worked for me..


try check the internet connection..normally thats the culprit

in my case..its always the internet connection issue

Aiyoo..we discuss about N8 here and nothing to do wth network connection to your notebook-lah

That wan you ask your co IT to solve their internet connection or configure your notebook ip address-lor..

Otherwise..try asking in Network or even your notebook section

invalid server name? that is a problem that Nokia refused to admit or explain, because I believe they do not know how to solve it.
I got that problem with some public wifi like at mamak or kfc. some have that problem with their home wifi even. there are a lucky few who managed to solve this by changing settings which I have no idea how to do. Apparently Nokia forgot that our phone should be user friendly for normal people not for tech expert only.
it's embarassing when ur hanging out at mamak with your frens and everyone could connect to the wifi except for u. but i guess that is nokia for u.

wrong, Symbian foundation also come out with the generic version of Symbian, like google come out with vanilla Android , the rest of the customization are done by phone manufacturer. Android google announce it because they want you to know what's inside, and since a lot of manufacturer are using it, it's like a feature briefing for them as well, while Symbian, now only used by Nokia... create event for what lol.... last time when SE and Samsung are using Symbian, you can ask those that have a Omnia HD, their customization are quite cool iirc from what nicholas shown me
While Android's development is packed with innovation and strict timeline that they actually manage to fullfill, Symbian's is not so good, while they have the idea, they cant seem to get their development timeline right, keep on delay and delay..

maybe your company has a MAC address filter... your netbook u bring there and straight away can online? or they need to get the serial number of the netbook from you to register it first?

waaa..sounds like more complicated than what i thought..
last time at my office, it was because the internet have some problem..later the tech come repair, then everything ok dy..
so because of that..everytime i go to public wifi with that error pops-up..
i only thought that maybe the mamak's internet got problem.. 'never pay bil lah tu'..hahaha
