agreed. his style of play doesnt suit Arsenal. he likes to hold the ball for too long and lost possession most of the time. its time for him to go
*
then we must've been watching different Abou this season. if anything, his performance against Newcastle (bar the sending off) showed us why le Boss never bother to look for competition for Alex Song. i'd even say Abou was superb during the 1st half, epitomized everything that le Boss want from our midfielder

yes, his red card was stupid. he should have trying to get his payback without the referee noticing it tongue.gif but to say his style of play doesn't suit us is just plain wrong IMO

There is many reasons why he get provoked. I hope he learned his lesson well.

Casanova-styled updated prediction : I predicted a fall in MU after this.

yes, there are many reasons for Abou to react the way he did. i am in no way saying that what he did was right, in fact his sending off started Newcastle revival (along with other matters i.e. Johan withdrawal, we pressed the panic button way to early etc) so how can that be right. however, for a player whose career had been interrupted by injuries a lot of times and when most of the injuries came from dangerous tackle, 1 can at least try to understand why he reacted like that.

anyway, lesson learnt and hopefully we'll never see that kind of stupidity ever again

Actually I didn't pay much attention when I heard it. Whether it's FA, whether it's on Arsenal, Newcastle or the official - but I did heard Rosicky's name mentioned

Translated with google : Strong prevailing climate of suspicion around the incredible match in Saturday's Premier League match between Newcastle and Arsenal, according to France 2. Interpol had opened an investigation and the Czech player Arsenal Tomas Rosicky would be the viewfinder.

Damn. Can't see video in the office.

But Arsenal.com loan watch reported he played 90 minutes. The Jap kid must have really impressed Feyenoord to allow him to start the game and leave him on till the end!

That Miyaichi was good in the match showed in the video. Got pace, dribbling skill and know to trick his opponent.

Need to improve on his cross and decision making though which I believed can be trained thru experience.

So, here is Phil Dowd's record against us this season:

3D, 1L, showed 2 red cards against us and awarded 4 penalties against us. Fascinating?

If the Interpol were to get involved the linesman who gave that penalty and the officials are the ones who should be investigated rolleyes.gif

Official Line: Nolan and Diaby should have seen red but second Newcastle penalty was baffling

QUOTE
Barton's tackle on Diaby

I've given Barton plenty of stick in the past but his tackle on Diaby while robust was perfectly acceptable. He was in control of his movement and won the ball. Diaby was caught in the follow through, due to the way he went into the tackle and although his reaction was understandable given his previous injuries, it was over the top and left Dowd no option but to show red.

Should Nolan have been sent off?

'All we want is consistency ref,' tweeted Jack Wilshere. Nolan joined the fracas involving Diaby and pushed him. If Diaby had to go for two pushes, as Dowd indicated, then surely Nolan should have had yellow for his shove on Diaby and then at least another yellow for throwing Arsenal keeper Szczesny to the ground after Newcastle's first goal. Wilshere was right and should not be punished by the FA

Newcastle's penalties

The first penalty was given for a silly tackle by Koscielny on Best. It was soft, but the defender made contact when there was no need. But the second penalty was baffling. Assistant Trevor Massey flagged having seen a push by Rosicky. Replays showed the decision was wrong
