So, here is Phil Dowd's record against us this season:

3D, 1L, showed 2 red cards against us and awarded 4 penalties against us. Fascinating?

If the Interpol were to get involved the linesman who gave that penalty and the officials are the ones who should be investigated rolleyes.gif

Official Line: Nolan and Diaby should have seen red but second Newcastle penalty was baffling

QUOTE
Barton's tackle on Diaby

I've given Barton plenty of stick in the past but his tackle on Diaby while robust was perfectly acceptable. He was in control of his movement and won the ball. Diaby was caught in the follow through, due to the way he went into the tackle and although his reaction was understandable given his previous injuries, it was over the top and left Dowd no option but to show red.

Should Nolan have been sent off?

'All we want is consistency ref,' tweeted Jack Wilshere. Nolan joined the fracas involving Diaby and pushed him. If Diaby had to go for two pushes, as Dowd indicated, then surely Nolan should have had yellow for his shove on Diaby and then at least another yellow for throwing Arsenal keeper Szczesny to the ground after Newcastle's first goal. Wilshere was right and should not be punished by the FA

Newcastle's penalties

The first penalty was given for a silly tackle by Koscielny on Best. It was soft, but the defender made contact when there was no need. But the second penalty was baffling. Assistant Trevor Massey flagged having seen a push by Rosicky. Replays showed the decision was wrong

no....Just to show some recognition to some celebrities gooners around the world.  wink.gif
Put his performance in last night's match aside.... The way Chelsea rebranded him sounds a lil funny... Should just call him 'Ace' Torres, 'Genius' Torres, 'Marauder' Torres, 'Class' Torres, 'Legendary myth' Torres, 'Beyond ordinary' Torres...But out of all... They put it 'Hero' Torres.... I will go jaw drop doh.gif if it happened in Arsenal. I mean... its best the word Hero be used for likes of Terry, Lampard and Drogba...but why Torres who is yet to perform. But hope Torres can shine out in Chelsea for he had taken so much effort to get to the Chels.

Thanks...  biggrin.gif

oO yea, I did not notice that.

Casanova, do you want me to put your name in Arsenal fan list at 1st page?

Its not rebranding. In the UK all player name printing are called "Hero Printing" regardless of who you print on your back.

To be fair, Rio Ferdinand was once suspended for missing a routine drug test, so the FA can come down hard on Englishmen as well.

And Wilshere's tweet is a very mild and reasonable one, whereas Babel's was mindless conspiracy.

In any case, credit where credit's due, Barton's tackle on Diaby, while hard, was fair. And despite being a twat he did well to not retaliate against Diaby (where Nolan did).

We have to take it on the chin, admit that mistakes were made and take responsibility.

Hope that the lads come back strong.

So if Diaby's leg had been broken into 29820482039840923 pieces but Barton got the to ball first. Will you still regard it as a fair challenge?

The mere fact that the tackle was dangerous regardless of whehter he got to the ball first warrants a red. Period.

So, seems that the Swiss FA doctor has confirmed that Djourou just suffered bad bruising on his knee and will only be out for around a week. Very welcome news indeed. No sauce btw, took the info off an arsenal forum lol.

Out of nowhere.
Found this in Youtube.
Best derby ever.

I think the wing backs and the midfielders have something to learn from their seniors. What do you guys think? It has been quiet ever since after every matches with everybody giving their opinion after the match.

I'm disappointed IMO. We should have at least converted one of those 3 or 4 chances that we have. On the balance of play, yeah Barca had the better of possesion but we had a couple of really golden opportunities. All is not lost yet IMO, if we can hang in there and get a goal there might still be something in it for us.

What a 2nd half ! Feck the first. Holy sh*t those were two goals even Barcelona would have been proud of. Super stuff. I'm lost for words. Well proud of the lads' 2nd half display.

Even after so many games, I don't dare to say it, but mayb we can stop worrying about goalkeepers from now on...

He does indeed look very special at the moment. One of the unsung heroes last night. People may put down the Messi misses as one off mistakes from the Argentine himself but I'm very well convinced Scezsjdasdlasjdlkajskdjsadny played a huge part in those misses as well. Slightly unlucky for the Villa goal but overall a real top notch performance.

However I do pity Fabianski. Just when he was beggining to cement himself as number 1 and show what he is capable of he gets a terrible injury. When Fabianski is fit again, Arsene is gonna have a huge headache and lets hope things don't get too ugly on that front. Won't want something ala Lehmann/Kahn or Lehmann/Almunia to happen and upset the team.

I'm generally worried if this is all our subs can do. I shudder to think this lot are the ones you expect to step up with a few injuries to our first teamers. Shocking performance so far.

Either Van Persie or Djourou/Koscielny gets injured and we are officially screwed.

Chamakh looks even worse than Adebayor at his worst at the moment and everything has gone downhill for Squillaci.

Well Almunia...I don't think I'll even have to say a word....
