A4 looks very sporty & stylish...
BTW I see everybody mentioning that Merc C-class CGI is slow.... Perhaps you'll tested the Kompressor version maybe & not the CGI......

QUOTE(masz94 @ Apr 11 2011, 03:18 PM) Passat CC looks so elegant... AFAIK...same HP figures for the Compressor and CGI. I think torque, CGI is a little better. To me C-Class still slow..but not as slow as the 320 petrol la..that is a slow car. 320d different story all together la...A4 looks very sporty & stylish... Merc C250 CGI produces 204hp 310nm torque. To some ppl it's more than adequate already.
Added on April 11, 2011, 5:10 pmby the way, i think Passat CC's nose part looks too much like a Toyota Camry. This post has been edited by huaren1978: Apr 11 2011, 05:10 PM |

QUOTE(climacool @ Feb 4 2011, 02:18 AM) Still hesiting? Tested the Passat CC 2.0 tsi. Wheel spin on take off everytime since FWD. Responsiveness of car to throttle inputs is great. 6spd DSG is also fast and responsive. Sport setting on adaptive suspension is too jiggly. Normal setting gives the best ride handling compromise.I will pick... VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT CC 1) Best Performances car under value RM300k 2) International Engine of the Year 3) Premium Executive Car of The Year 2010 4) New Straits Times/ Maybank Car of the Year Awards 2010 5) Auto Car Asean Award: Compact Luxury Sedan 6) Good Design Award 7) Overall Car of the Year 2010 8) Euro Car body award 2009 9) Most Improved Brand in Malaysia: Volkswagen and many more.. Attractive features and performances Now come with 5 seaters (last time was 4 seaters) ...and 5 yrs warranty giving u peace of mind "but the rear light seems a bit korean-ish"... I had the same thinking like you at 1st ...try to judge that car at different angle.. Tested the Mondeo 2.0 Ecoboost as well. 203hp 300Nm 6 speed Dual clutch. Engine is sweeter and quieter than Passat CC. Ride comfort and steering accuracy also beats Passat CC. Hmm ... this Mondeo is really comfy, quiet and yet a great drivers car! Only one thing lets down the drive .... the responsiveness just feels SLOW inspite of the dual clutch gearbox. Stomp on the accelerator and pick up feels slow at the start but picks up quickly a while later. I guess price may be around RM200K - 210K for Mondeo Ecoboost vs RM245K for Passat CC. One other thing.... Mondeo body and doors feel real solid. Passat CC feels flimsy comparatively. After testing both, can't say which one I prefer overall..... tough choice! Wonder how is the resale value of either car since not popular choices in M'sia. Cheers..... |

A friend drove the 160hp version of that 1.8, very efficient engine for a petrol. Other than that dunno. Should be a good car.

Better get the facelifted 170hp 1.8TFSI variant. The engine has 2 injection modes, MPI & FSI. Solved the issue of carbon deposit on valves over time that haunts the earlier gen TFSI engine. |

Audi A4 is a very good car and petrol consumption is only 15 sen per km for city used. I am not sure about VW Passat.
