Passat CC looks so elegant... wub.gif
A4 looks very sporty & stylish... wub.gif

BTW I see everybody mentioning that Merc C-class CGI is slow.... Perhaps you'll tested the Kompressor version maybe & not the CGI......

AFAIK...same HP figures for the Compressor and CGI. I think torque, CGI is a little better. To me C-Class still slow..but not as slow as the 320 petrol la..that is a slow car. 320d different story all together la...

Merc C250 CGI produces 204hp 310nm torque. To some ppl it's more than adequate already.

Added on April 11, 2011, 5:10 pmby the way, i think Passat CC's nose part looks too much like a Toyota Camry. tongue.gif

Tested the Passat CC 2.0 tsi. Wheel spin on take off everytime since FWD. Responsiveness of car to throttle inputs is great. 6spd DSG is also fast and responsive. Sport setting on adaptive suspension is too jiggly. Normal setting gives the best ride handling compromise.

Tested the Mondeo 2.0 Ecoboost as well. 203hp 300Nm 6 speed Dual clutch. Engine is sweeter and quieter than Passat CC. Ride comfort and steering accuracy also beats Passat CC. Hmm ... this Mondeo is really comfy, quiet and yet a great drivers car! Only one thing lets down the drive .... the responsiveness just feels SLOW inspite of the dual clutch gearbox. Stomp on the accelerator and pick up feels slow at the start but picks up quickly a while later. I guess price may be around RM200K - 210K for Mondeo Ecoboost vs RM245K for Passat CC.

One other thing.... Mondeo body and doors feel real solid. Passat CC feels flimsy comparatively. After testing both, can't say which one I prefer overall..... tough choice! Wonder how is the resale value of either car since not popular choices in M'sia. Cheers.....

320i slow because it's a NA engine , compare to 320d turbocharged diesel , A4 turbocharged as well , C-class also turbo , passat CC also turbo of course the NA engine is slow.... only NA 325i and above can match those i mentioned

but the coming new 3 series F30 will equip with turbo engine , so it's fair and square now smile.gif

Heard that the new Audi A4 1.8 TFSI facelift is already in Malaysia but havent officially launched yet. New 1.8L Turbo engine too.

1) Price increased by RM4K
2) Horsepower increased from 160 to 170HP
3) Torque increased from 250 - 320Nm
4) Fuel efficiency increased from 7.2L/100km to 5.8L/100km
5) New design DRL

A friend drove the 160hp version of that 1.8, very efficient engine for a petrol. Other than that dunno. Should be a good car.

Better get the facelifted 170hp 1.8TFSI variant.

The engine has 2 injection modes, MPI & FSI. Solved the issue of carbon deposit on valves over time that haunts the earlier gen TFSI engine.

Audi A4 is a very good car and petrol consumption is only 15 sen per km for city used. I am not sure about VW Passat.
