hi all, planning to get a htc desire hd soon...wanna ask...im a maxis user using a suplementary line...is it worth it to buy the phone outside and subscribe maxis data plan?

or just get it from digi 24 months contract (advance RM1399)?

abit malas to change line though....

btw, can we install garmin on the DHD other using the stock gps...?

just buy from lowyat... car charger.. RM30 only.. heheh

i face 2 problem with LeeDroid...
1. cannot open pdf file that attach in email... keep popup force close.
2. when play youtube... then click kat back button.. my phone become very slow.. need to reboot.,..

never try no.1,
but no problem in your case no.2!

Well, on CM7 got no problem with Youtube in Landscape/Portrait mode if you press Back button

You mean played in Landscape mode (full screen) and press back without pausing won't lag the phone? this is sure nice

3G Data + 2 hours of music, with stock ROM can last maybe around 5~7 hours top...custom rom maybe can last for about 10 hours...as we all know that 3G Data really does drains battery...mine here with WiFi on 24/7, from 7am till 9pm just drained around 40% (with one hour of music)

hi sifus,

i'm considering between desire and desire HD, the only concern i've is the relative larger size of the desire HD in terms of being able to put inside pant pockets and sitting down etc.

since most of you are current owners, can i ask if there are moments when you wished that you had the 'smaller' sized desire instead?

Yup, the kernel 1.2.3 is nice ...and for those heavy Youtube people, no problem at all now

Added on February 9, 2011, 6:36 amJust what i love about RevoHD, last night full charge 100% @8pm...play some music for about an hour, battery drained to 97% then i left it standby and go to sleep with WiFi on, wake up in the morning @6am, battery is 93% ..nice

+1, no matter what ROM i use, or how i wipe the batt stat,
still need to daily charge or sometimes twice a day    
lucky to have you on coredroid as representative, as i might flash to other ROM tonight!

I have been following this forum for quite sometime, before buying my DHD till now. So, just to share with you guys some of my experience.

I bought at SenQ. Using for few days, then found a pixel defect and have a problem of restarting frequently itself and keep saying 'sd card unmount', send to Sis for repair and it took 1 month!!!! to get it back (p.s. jz got it back 3 days ago, so sad....). Initially was quite happy coz it's finally repaired, well, they changed my screen and also the anthena but after using it for one day, the pixel defect part solved but the problem of restarting itself and saying 'sd card unmount' still the same.

Here is my headache issue: it will suddenly restart/reboot, then say that 'sd card unmount'...so i need to take the micro sd card out and put it back, and only it work again to read my sd card. i has happen 2 times dy for past 3 days and many times before i send for repair.

Is there anyone havin the same problem as i'm having? sorry that i'm not mananged to browse throught all thread coz very time consuming....

Please kindly help me to solve this problem, really wonder that izzit a factory fault or because i install some software problem that cause it to be like that....

Im only PVT SHIP OFF..n when i wanted to do ENG S-OFF using a simple way from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855403

it says i have incompatible ROM/kernel..is it because im on revoHD 2.0.11? so i cant really do ENG S-OFF..any other way?  

BUT how come people keep saying custom ROM giving huge improvement on the battery life?!?
if still depend on the usage then no matter what ROM also the same then...

the only different is the setCPU? able to have it max out and lower it when not in use..
