QUOTE(TechnoG @ Mar 4 2011, 02:11 PM) design wise, you made up your mind on it. 7G's Black switches are good for gaming. You can depress them faster than the Blue ones. But Brown are still one of the best if you ask me.the main point is, 7G = Cherry MX Black. Heavy touch, not that good for gaming. BW = Cherry MX Blue. Light touch, type type syok. Added on March 4, 2011, 2:14 pm Orly? I'm still a SS loyal follower I'm more of a ambi user. Right-handed mouse is okay, but I feel comfortable with it after long hours of gaming. thus, SS Ikari. IMO, it's like a crossover between a ambi and right-handed mouse. You should try the Xai. Ambi as it may be, it feels almost as comfortable as the Ikari. |

I thought heavier = harder to press? gaming = fast movement = tactile kbs?You should try the Xai. Ambi as it may be, it feels almost as comfortable as the Ikari. never tested brown and red before. Brown is a combination of Black and Blue? if only there is a OEM Xai Seriously, I like Ikari's shape. |

The slight increase in the actuation weight isn't going to be much of a difference. In fact, it helps prevent accidental key presses and the bump which you get from the MX Blue is totally unnecessary for gaming. And yeah, the Brown switches as found on the ZOWIE Celeritas are perhaps the middle ground for both gaming and typing. never tested brown and red before. I'm pretty sure Blue switches are better for gaming. I tried the SS 7G before and its terrible compared to the BW. I mean seriously bad. 15g of actuation force is a considerable amount really.

I'm using 6GV2 which is a black switch. Well I tested the BW before and noticed how the key actually bounced back faster than black switches. It has that plasticy feel which I don't find comfortable compared to the 6gv2.
One question, been using the 6gv2 for 3 days now and I noticed the colors are fading slowly. Is this normal? The white wording turned black already , especially the WASD buttons D: |

Well, for me, playing FPS its harder to do double taps on the BW since you need it to bounce back up after the click. And regarding the actuation force, I kept making a lot of accidental key presses with it because I'm too used to resting my fingers on the keys when idle. This post has been edited by AlexLai: Mar 5 2011, 10:04 PM |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Mar 5 2011, 10:04 PM) When it's new it won't fade completely, just looks a bit dull (like playing with the transparency effect in Photoshop). But when it ages, then it might just fade even more due to sweat and other causes. |

The 'coverless' 4 arrow keys on BW keyboards can't even poison me to get one.Never felt Black switches, neither Brown switches before |
