QUOTE(b48753 @ Feb 9 2011, 04:57 PM) You have to consider the kerb weight of the Dugong is much lighter than us, but our chasis has the momentum.. then that guy maybe dint full throttle. QUOTE(yngwie @ Feb 9 2011, 07:42 PM) it's for each rear absorber. one bottom and one on top. water pump should cost around 60, aircon fan motor around 160-250 if not mistaken.here are the full list of bushes that i upgraded to pu last time around; front lower arm = x4 front arb = x2 rear lower arm = x2 rear upper arm = x2 rear lateral arm = x2 ?? rear arb link and end link = x4?? rear trailing arm = x2 others are steering rack mount bush = x2 could not remember the exact amount of bushes but it cost me around 1.3k with labour. btw, guys, i am currently troubleshooting a friend's waja due to some problem. anyone change the water pump and air-con fan motor before? how much is the cost of both? need to quote him. not sure if i ask before, does changing our stock chamber muffler to s-flow muffler makes a differences in performance? if yes, any suggestion for which muffler should we look at?
Added on February 20, 2011, 1:40 ammy engine below the extractor connector to the engine block seems to be leaking. i'm pretty sure it wasn't leaking from the valve cover as i replaced them before and it's pretty dry around that area. any idea which part is causing the leak? please help This post has been edited by Andy0625: Feb 20 2011, 01:40 AM |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Feb 20 2011, 02:14 AM) if not mistaken, most of the original muffler is chamber type. after much goggling, it seems that the cylinder head gasket is leaking. any idea how much it's going to cost to replace? no money to pnp else it would be a good timing to leak. QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Feb 20 2011, 11:29 AM) cylinder head gasket? So it's leaking in between the head and block? there's no leaking on the rocker cover as i change the gasket before but now it's the cylinder head gasket leaking. since i saw the price of top overhaul set also around 380, i guess i shall delay this repair until i got extra spare cash and time as mostly it need few days to do it. guess it'll be another 3months plus after my coming semester done. A couple of hundred lol, maybe 500? What u mean chamber type? |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Feb 20 2011, 02:32 PM) let it leak la... just watch ur oil level. Until the head gasket blows and the car starts overheating, then it still isnt necessary to change it agree, let it leak first until i got money and time. btw, is it recommended to do a top overhaul set instead of just replacing the cylinder head gasket?QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Feb 20 2011, 02:58 PM) Everco recently showed me their new s-flow muffler where the pipe really bends in an S-shape. Throw a 20sen coin into one end, and it'll come out the other end. I'd give it a try if I was an auto any idea how much would that muffler cost? |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Feb 20 2011, 03:29 PM) 280 or so. I always thought Everco top cat muffler is expensive.Replacing the cylinder head gasket is equivealant to a top overhaul. Just that you'll have the option wether to replace the valve seals and grind the valves at the same time or not since the whole head is already out Added on February 20, 2011, 3:52 pmselling off my 2pc epsilon subwoofers with box - RM500nego selling off a 1pc JBL GT120 sub with box - RM300 Does it makes a differences in replacing those valve seals, intake and exhaust gasket aswell? Some said old valve seals equivalent to lost compression. |

QUOTE(b48753 @ Feb 21 2011, 11:55 AM) RM950 for pnp only, the plus cost for top overhaul and 2micron head skimming RM 1650..add RM300 for fuel regulator.. almost similar price i get from maddriver. where you did all these anyway? does pnp and the fuel regulator really make a differences? This post has been edited by Andy0625: Feb 21 2011, 11:09 PM |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Feb 22 2011, 12:36 AM) Andy : it certainly does make a difference because you have more air flowing through the intake and exhaust ports. Even better if you have an oversized throttle body and optimized tuning to inject more fuel on full throttle to compensate the extra air going into the engine 800 for top overhaul, another 800 for pnp, another 300 for fuel regulator. can someone bless me win jackpot ah? More air = more fuel = more power QUOTE(b48753 @ Feb 22 2011, 12:45 AM) I did it last time at TRIAL workshop, when my friend was working there..now he's open his own workshop.. no more upskirt upskirt anymore, already flash few times. no boner anymore. Fuel regulator is needed due to now more air coming in, so the burn heat is more thus need more fuel to compensate the heat. Slight better pickup is achieved, but for the best add grounding wire for better throttle response, and also flashing your ECU did produce more horsepower and torque. |
