smalling was excellent last night. No one can get pass him when one on one. he's got a great height and physical ability. i'm really satisfied with his performance last night. hopefully he can keep that sort of performance for many years to come.

Both of them are City best players last night apart from Kompany and Hart. Silva was a constant threat while Toure marshalling the midfield very well.

With Park Ji sung back from international duty and Valencia on the verge of returning from his long lay-off, it will certainly give SAF plenty of players to choose at his disposal. This coming FA Cup game against Crawley definitely will be a chance for SAF to rest some of his players. i can see the likes of Michael Owen, Gibson, Rafael, Fabio, Obertan, Park Ji sung, Hernandez, Smalling and Evans (if he recovered in time) in the line up.

This is him in 5 year's time, as he has traits and similarity of a great United defender...
