It's bloody akward + sad seeing Schmikes turning up in a blue kit. G Nev's yeah. i read it. surely young players need games to express themselves more. maybe SAF ought to loan Gibson to give him more EPL experience. For real? Cant wait to hear from him on the next game against noisy neighbors, NN. Physical-wise, the team'll get pawned, but im sure Fergie has his way out. Anyways, latest news... SATAY-style... Trap advises Gibson to leave United Giovanni Trapattoni has set himself up for a potential clash with Sir Alex Ferguson by suggesting that Darron Gibson would be better served leaving Manchester United. Gibson is viewed as a key component for the future of Republic of Ireland football by manager Trapattoni and Gibson claimed his first goal for his country with a stunning effort against Wales on Tuesday evening. Trapattoni wants to see Gibson fulfil his potential, but believes that will only happen by playing regular football and is concerned that may not happen at Old Trafford. "He can do more," Trapattoni said. "He has big potential. If I was Gibson I would go to another group where I always play. With this you can build. "Manchester is Manchester and it is an important club, but sometimes the young players need to play, play, play. It gives them confidence." SAUCE QUOTE(roti-terbakar @ Feb 10 2011, 12:35 PM) That boy Eriksen against England seems promising. Ball control and passing looks good. We din get linked with yet? Yeah. he look quite promising. he even pawned Wilshere. Best years ahead of him. plus Ajax is the best place for young player to grow. |

QUOTE(pyroboy1911 @ Feb 10 2011, 07:55 PM) FFFUUUUUUU~Btw, that Trappatoni should keep his trap shut. Never heard of the word 'backup'? We only have to think about giving Gibbo a transfer/loan to some other smaller team so he can get more playing time? And when our midfielders get injured, what? Simply use some untested U18 player? What if he's in our situation, people telling his backup player to not turn up for an international friendly game? If his first 11 player gets injured, he has no tried and tested player to act as backup. Then baru nak see it from our side? |

Hulk is a Rooney & Tevez type of player if i'm not mistaken but less brain.
Trapp has the right to be concern. He want the best of gibbo. He knows Gibbo has potential but with lots of competition , it does hurt Gibbo chances. It could boost chance for C.Evans or Pogba near the first team if Gibbo left. We leave to Sir Alex whether to sell him or not in the summer |

QUOTE(legendofhafiz @ Feb 10 2011, 08:47 PM) In the first place the club has no problem with players representing their countries. We let them use our players (sometimes even at stupid periods when we have a packed schedule) and hope they return without any injuries. So, why can't international team coaches like Trappatoni show some respect by keeping such thoughts only to himself? Clubs at times are 'forced' to let their players go at crucial times during a season (e.g. Park) and now have to bow down to such disruptive advices made to the players they are paying week in week out? |

Well, from neutral point of view I can understand why Trappatoni said that. Put ourselves in his position. If one of our key player (IIRC Gibson has been starting for the Irish) is not getting regular run of matches which could result in lack of match fitness/sharpness, we will have the same concern as well. Not to mention Gibson do indeed need more matches to improve and develope so I see nothing wrong in what Trappatoni said. This post has been edited by alien2003: Feb 10 2011, 09:06 PM |

Easy for him to say. If Gibbo follows his advice, then we'll lose a promising player we've been developing from young. Whereas for Senor Trap, whether Gibbo moves or stays he still can call him for the Irish team. O'Shea since old has been a backup man most of every season, we should sell him too then to please his international coach. |

QUOTE(Rhadykall @ Feb 10 2011, 09:31 PM) Yes but at the same time he (JOS) is not a young player in the development stage either which Gibson is.Its all up to Gibson to decide. He could do a Rossi/Pique and we cant blame him for doing so. As I said, he is in the stage now where he need to start playing regularly to get the development to the next level. Sooner or later, coming on as sub or starting the occasional matches will not be sufficient. |

Certainly there are competition in every position in our squad now. Gibson have to fight for his place. He has the potential to be one of the best. he certainly have the power shot but apart from that, he still need to improve. playing week in and week out maybe the answer but hopefully he can train harder to command a place in 1st team regularly. currently his overall play, positioning, passing still behind the likes of Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher and Ando. But there still time for him to catch up.

Sooner or later, coming on as sub or starting the occasional matches will not be sufficient. for example, just look at the likes of Pique, richardson, ryan shawcross, rossi and many more to name... they are shining at their own respective clubs.. it is just an option for them to choose and it is up to them to decide their own future |
