try my gps at another location and it is still superb.... the best i seen so far ever, period..

im not sure whether it is the modem cause i just change to zsjpe or it is the gps aid.

i try uninstall gps aid and delete the gps data, reboot. and my gps still locking fast and superb.

so here it is,

im calling out to all SGSrian to try and experiment this, especially those who keen about GPS

1st, flash zsjpe modem:
http://hotfile.com/dl/105928901/febb795/ZSJPE.tar.html

put the .tar in the PHONE section of odin. no pit, other leave blank.

this will not wipe the phone.

test the gps out using any gps test app. and take note, the time of locking, the signal strength and the accuracy, the number of satellite
THEN, you install https://market.android.com/details?id=ltodo...e=search_result

if native mthod fail then do the brute force, you must have internet connection....

do another gps test, and take note of the difference using gps aid and not using it

using simple galaxy rom with ext4 lagfix. Fast, smooth and beautiful.
I like the new interface, can show off to iPhone friends. Pretty funtional too although I'd like more customization. But I'd like it to have less ram consumption.

Yes, formatting and defragmenting too many times can shorten the lifetime of your PC hard disk. Flash disk has even shorter lifetime than traditional hard disk. Which is why our pen drive can die quickly. But we need to find out more about the flash disk in our phone.

Try to use a non-wipe rom whenever possible if flashing a same base as there will be less data read/write.

yep, totally agree. its been 2 months since my last flashing. cannot risk the phone to die early somehow. hoho

btw, can anyone in here buy me widgetlocker lockscreen from the market? i want it so much laa.
