I did a lot of research before buying a phone (Which I normally do). But the review is bias, I think. Because they never mentioned about laggy issue. And I was the pioneer of getting the phone when it was first available from Maxis. Well, I don't follow trend blindly. I buy the phone that I like. I still think that it's android system flaw for the lag issue, but I can't confirm.

Well, I don't agree with jujx. I don't know how his friend jailbroke his iphone. But for my friend's iphone. I have experienced it with my own hands and my very own eyes. It surprised me a lot. The phone was loaded with tons of Games and Apps. But still silky smooth, especially running the apps. Huh.... what can I say? For your info, iphone 4 without JB is inferior to SGS due to paid apps. After JB, you can get alots of quality apps FOC. This is the fact you can't deny.

Well, I'm still holding on my SGS, hoping for a brighter future of Android. If you found bugs and flaws in the system, you need to rectify it. Not to keep pushing new Android System which is still suckie. Do it like Microsoft's way (Only for the part which they release patches to correct the flaws, not other aspect)

I have the same thinking as you, CrossX. I would really wait and consider Ipad2 instead of going for Samsung Tab 10.1. Sometimes, advertisement promised more than reality. That's the purpose of Ads, right?

oh. well, it's like a huge upgrade for me as i'm currently using a SonyEricsson featurephone (aka dumbphone), so to me it can last for 2 years before i change to a better one.

and i wouldn't change to SGS2 if i got SGS already.

Guys, anyone here owns both the blackberry and the SGS? i own a bb and i am so used with their push notifications and the ease of opening an app straight away right after getting a new notification. Is the notification system on the SGS equally good, for people who have used both the SGS and bb?
Because, to me notifications are very important and i want a phone with a good notification system and i want to open apps like fb, twitter, whatsapp, etc with ease once i get a new notification.

i'm sick to get my sgs to work with kies 2 on my win xp machine.
what has been done so far:
1. install the driver (as in first page)
2. delete long extension filename name
3. install .net framework 4
4. install windows media player 11
5. set to twlauncer on every connection

still kies 2 give error phone not supported.

no problem with win7. bad bad samsung...

anyone know how to find skype for android? Cant find in Market and when i go to their website to install from there, im stuck with "Choose device on which to install" and when i select "Maxis Samsung GT-I9000 it says "This item is not available on your carrier". KNS!!

LOL, do you have a Kies alert on this thread or wat??!! but i agree, i dont use that piece of crap too. samsung should really create a software for only Android phones not share it with its Bada OS. but i heard the latest Kies is slightly more pleasant to use, couldnt be bothered to try it though

same here.. whenever I run some task then wanna switch back to homescreen, it'll have to reload again.. and sometimes it lags a lot. dont know why is that happening   sometimes using touchwiz oso the same, like playing sandstorm for some time, after that go back to touchwiz then have to reload all homescreen widgets and app drawer
