Hi, I'm having a problem with video call. My video call always blank (black) even either with "show me" or "hide me" or switch camera. I can see opposite ppl i calling, but he cant see me, with only blank I had tried many friends but always blank on my phone only. Also blank in Tango video calling.

Anyone know the solution?

I'm using stock xwjs3 since last month. But not sure when it started to have this problem. Which apk is relevant to video calling?

When I tested the GPS on the SGS earlier, I don't have GPS aids enabled, cause I haven't got time to fiddle with the settings yet.

I thought it's more for power saving?

in progress now. stock ROM from kies + speedmod 13b + enable recommended tweaks + enable lagfix (ext4).

quarant score 1329. not bad.

I doubt they would do that... theres no Benefit in doing that also..

If you study marketing ... the PLC for Electronic products would reach its peak very fast....

After the initial batch is release.... whats the point for them to even fixing it??? and in SGS case its most probably the hardware design .....

Why would they want to Re design an Old project that already reaches its PEAK in sales ..... they are just incuring more cost in having the engineer redesign it ... and furthermore the cost of testing the new design would be expensive...

And as you know samsung releases new model sooner than most other phone manufacturer ...... The Nexus S is an example....

Fixing a hardware problem isnt changing a software ... it requires physical temperament of the hardware itself ... and any changest doesnt come cheap..

There is also no evidence that they actualy redesign the hardware what so ever.... so far it is just forumers "CLAIMING" that newer is better ...

Outdoor i got a fix in less than 20sec....
Mine is because i on it with data..... and im one of the 1st batch ppl
Last time on STOCK 2.2 firmware without data... i can also get fix less than 30sec..... but at some places for some reason "if you search the old thread ... ive talk about my lock with stock firmware"
Answers Varies alot .... but i can assure you that redesigning the phone hardware is Plain impossible .... if they change the GPS chip alone ... customer could just request for that particular fix ... which doesnt make sense either...
Like i said b4 ... it is pretty much the same case like the papago thing mentioned earlier ..... Some people might felt positive about it .... some are not satisfy with it...

Dear sifus, flash to speedmod kernel nid to backup all my stuff (e.g. Apps, sms) ?
I heard tat most of the backup app need to be rooted. Im planning to root my phone from speedmod there after i hav flashed it.

i just download the ZSJPE modem.. the .zip recovery and the .tar odin one.. but i see there's a big dif with this two file.. where the .zip file size is only 4.02mb and the .tar is 12mb..

is there any different between two of this? which one should i use?

no one mention it is the BEST    i just want to experiment with it, cause I me and my myself felt that it is better than other modem,

i read your post, and thought want to give it a go, so i download the aids first, then if still suck i jump on the epic fix.

ZZZ i know that already !!!! Im just using Papago as an example.... Since my accuracy is around 10-15...and i got good positioning when i use google maps but papago to me is not as accurate as what the other user here that say it is accurate....  and if you read through the thread... alot of users also claim that papago isnt the best chocie for GPS @ android....
So im just using that as an example that not all user might have the same thought and they think that their GPS for newer batch is better for one reason or another... or easily satisfy .... and i already knew about the zoom in and out thing .... Why the hell do you need to mention it?? i never state anything about it when i was replying to u.... and if its because its due to my old post... you should also know that theres a post acknowledging this matter....
Back to the 1st paragraph.... thats what he claims .... it might real it might be false or it might be heavily exxagerated you would never know..... cause my friend SGS set dated around end of december ... is the EXACT same performance as what i felt in my SGS .....

You might say he no sim card.... there maybe other option that he might forgot to mention like wifi?? even so.... maybe its a HOT START mistaken to be COLD START ... you might also wont know...

Or there might be possibility that hes in a right place or position for the GPS to work (just like what i mention about my Stock SGS experience)
