Cerato 1.6SX and 2.0SX 6 speed - will be a good alternate choice instead of Inspira. No offends to all Inspira owners and fans.

Test Drive Inspira yesterday. When going through pot holes/bumper, cant feel a thing.

I was wondering was it because of the
A) 16 inch tyre
B) Thick Continental tyre
C) Lotus Handling

????

The safety features such as 6 airbags, and a whole slew of electronics make the 2.0SX very appealing to me. No matter how nice to drive a car is, if it can't keep me alive in an accident, it's not much use lol. BTW, Old cerato/forte is different from the face lifted one they have now. Transmission has been changed to a six speed, plus other cool gadgets like reverse cam, paddleshifters etc.

Between the 2.0's I'd pick the forte. If only they brought in the 2.0 with 6 speed manual tranny. Only weak point would be the rear suspensions, which if well designed, would not matter much to the average driver.

Anyway, Inspira FTW haha. Mods available are more than the holes in my pocket. >.<

My stim also potong.suddenly got "nyek" sound after poket koyak.

Proton should know the problem, They will call back our Inspira to solve the problem. I just change the spring(eibach) only. bit lowered. good drive & cornering.

Actually I was referring to the ride. If compare to other cars, it will be bumpy.
But Inspira cant feel anything.

i have frens coleagues driving the big 3 japs complain until give up as can settle the fitment.interior knows/dashboard loose/discolored /mis fitments etc

I know some of us and myself including, after reading many crap comments to put down inspira and proton is really uncalled for on the other thread. But I decided not to join in to clear up situation because I know it will be useless and pointless for me to do so. Trying to convince a hater to like proton/inspira is always a losing battle.

Also, they just comment like an expert after reading some negative post by someone whom they cannot even verify from the source if this is true or not. And actually how many of them have actually owned or tested the inspira properly to comment on such issues?

Even if the contents of the letter is 100% true that 6 out of 10 is having the exact same issue, like some of you've said, complaints will be pouring in left right and center of this thread or anywhere discussing inspira already.

Those of us that owns this car, really find it baffling that people that do not own the car are talking like experts when clearly they do not know what they are talking about.

So, the best way is to ignore them and let them have a go at inspira or proton or whatever they like until they are satisfied, meanwhile we just keep enjoying our car and enjoy modding it.

The recall addresses problems with the lost motion springs and the retainers in the affected vehicles, with replacement of these to be carried out with countermeasure parts.
In the affected cars, the lost motion springs – which are compressed by rocker arms in normal engine use – may bend or break over time, resulting in irregular engine noise and potentially causing engine stalls. No related crashes or injuries have been reported so far."

1) ngek ngek sound in the morning
2) can hear tire sound from inside car when driving
3) sound of air-con compressor clicking every few mins when car idle
4) car very heavy when driving slow..need to tekan minyak more and then the car roar like thundercat and fly past other car
4) high fuel consumption - 9.8km/l (ron 97)

anyway, it's minor issues for me coz with RM 92k, i got a 2.0 litre car with paddle shift

can't afford and don't want to loan so much to get a T or H with 1.8litre.

Just to share, when I got the car last year, next day went to change the gear oil already.

Flush the old gear oil and you will see a lot of small small silver particles like dust.

Those are tiny metal dust cause it's a new car and will act like sand paper on your CVT system.

So your CVT cepat haus lo.

After second gear oil change, no more or really less dust liao   

Now change to Mitsubishi's Diamond ATF SP III gear oil already 

try to go to eon? since they service lancers as well..
