do you feel with the increase of hp and changing of rims, does the brakes feel under powered for you?

QUOTE(rublik @ Feb 14 2011, 11:16 PM)
Planning to cut the hole this weekend

The disc brakes are AXT oversized units (RM1280 i think just for the front). Its 320 mm in size, cross drilled and slotted. They will use back ur caliper. Its just the disc and bracket. Looks very nice, but price a bit expensive and harder to claim warranty if anything wrong with our ABS or braking system

Yes I got it from Eric, its just plug and play, no wire cutting or modification required, if you dont know how to install, then ask him to do it for you for a small fee.

The extra stuff is the ballast, which is placed some where hidden from view, so the original connector will go to the ballast, from ballast there is a wire connecting to the new bulb, that is it. No extra mods needed.

QUOTE(cle900706 @ Feb 16 2011, 12:40 AM)
ooh... so juz take out old bulb and put in new bulb? haha..... i tot need put extra stuff

Its reported over here, http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file...655&sec=central

Their statements are very contradicting, at one point say all retrofit is illegal, then now saying 4300k and adjust headlamp to be lower is okay, either the reporter is confused or the people inside JPJ are. rclxub.gif

I still prefer proton inspira over kia cerato anyday, no offence, i made the choice to wait for lancer rebadge launching over 1 1/2 years (when i got the news) rather than place a booking for cerato although i was quite interested in it at first, so glad i made that choice

Test Drive Inspira yesterday. When going through pot holes/bumper, cant feel a thing.

I was wondering was it because of the
A) 16 inch tyre
B) Thick Continental tyre
C) Lotus Handling

????

answer is A & B, but when you change to 18" wheels, you will feel more of the road and stiffer ride, inspira is designed for comfort, remain stock if you like comfort

Dear Bros,

I know some of us and myself including, after reading many crap comments to put down inspira and proton is really uncalled for on the other thread. But I decided not to join in to clear up situation because I know it will be useless and pointless for me to do so. Trying to convince a hater to like proton/inspira is always a losing battle.

Also, they just comment like an expert after reading some negative post by someone whom they cannot even verify from the source if this is true or not. And actually how many of them have actually owned or tested the inspira properly to comment on such issues?

Even if the contents of the letter is 100% true that 6 out of 10 is having the exact same issue, like some of you've said, complaints will be pouring in left right and center of this thread or anywhere discussing inspira already.

Those of us that owns this car, really find it baffling that people that do not own the car are talking like experts when clearly they do not know what they are talking about.

So, the best way is to ignore them and let them have a go at inspira or proton or whatever they like until they are satisfied, meanwhile we just keep enjoying our car and enjoy modding it.

Have a great weekend ahead.

what you see is rain water marks that is left to dry by itself, since there is no way we can quickly dry our cars after going through rain so it will dry on it's own, bad news is that most cars suffer this problem, I did SG because I need the ease to wash my car, after about nearly 2 month, still the dirt is easily wiped off during my car washing session, true we can't do waxing to remove it, what you can do is bring it back to the shop and seek their help if the stain is really bothering you, I am pretty sure they can help you remove it then reapply the SG layer on the localized spot(most of the time minor jobs they don't charge you because I have asked be4), I never regretted SG as I benefit from it every time I do my own car wash.

I also just change to K&N Filter this morning, car feel lighter and moves easier, smile.gif

Another thing I wish to share is that every time you service with proton/any SC, before you leave the place, please take the effort to take out that long stick that is used to check the engine oil level, make sure the oil is clear or slight yellowish and clean, and not dark chocolate color, I had a shock of my life this morning when I go out to service outside using fully syn, the color of my 2500km old syntium 800 drained out is dark chocolate, and the mechanic told me it shouldn't be like that if they really did drain out all the oil and change for me.

The mechanic said its common practice for SC mechanics to change 2 liters of new engine oill for you while the remaining they will sell it to outside workshops.

So lesson learned, I had better do that for the upcoming 10000km service at SC.

It all boils down to how much effort you can put in to keep the car in a good condition, if you always park it outside under the sun and rain or even expose to bird droppings, the car paint will become old in no time, so even having SG is not the ultimate car care solution if you dont take care of it yourself. SG assist us to have a longer lasting shine and it becomes easier to clean and that is why I am washing my car minimum 2-3 times a week as its so much easier to do it now.
