Control your ps3 thru your PSP or (soon) PSVita

Your ps3 will show a black screen(like when you're updating a game) with the words "remote play in progress(or something like that) and you can only access your ps3 xmb on the portable device until you exit remote play either on the ps3 or PSP/vita

then sony wont be able to sell the video cables(linking psp to tv)
or the upload feature of the psp just sucks.
seriously, try downloading a game on the psp from the store. IT TAKES AGES!!!
i wouldnt be surprised if the upload is complete rubbish

there must be a reason many games only allow ad hoc gaming and not full on wifi infrastructure gaming.

i dont think the PSP does much, just receives the internet connection packets.
the ps3 processes the game data, then converts to data packets and pushes it to the psp.
then the psp just display the data received from the ps3.

dont be too happy about this,though.
it relies heavily on your internet connection.

even remote play accessing the store through the ps3 will lag like crazy.

cant remember how much the cable costs, but it's damn short.
really damn short.
when played on tv it retains it's 480p picture, so it's not that bad..just not very nice to look at as it wont completely cover the whole screen

think of it this way;
you're in the middle of playing a game and suddenly someone needs to use the tv.
they're not using the ps3, just the tv.
so you can sit at the very same spot and use your local network to continue your game.

it's not meant to replace actually playing the game on the ps3, so you cant judge it as that kind of feature

remote play is the one where you play the ps3 game through the internet/local area network.(where you NEED the ps3 to be online and switched on)
transfarring is not remote play.
transfarring is playing the actual game on your vita/ps3,so you dont need either unit to be on and online while playing on the other.

it's being developed by Sony BEND.
if the past PSP Syphon Filter games are anything to go by, this developer DELIVERS.

PS. they also developed Resistance Retribution which was,IMHO, one of the best titles to grace the PSP system.
what with it's integration of Dual Shock 3 compatibility and all..
