just get a "3G Prepaid sim card"
AFAIK, it doesnt have a line, just gives you 3G internet.
to reload just dial the number in a separate phone and punch in the reload id.

>_< went out earlier, played a bit of Uncharted, put the Vita to sleep then couldnt power back on (it hung up,basically) tried everything from holding the power button down to pressing every single button together,by itself, etc..nothing worked.

figured i'd rush on home and charge it to see if that worked, it didnt.

then as a last ditch resort held the power button for 1 minute. and NOW it works!

disappointed that it can just hang for no damn reason(i just paused UGA then went to the home screen and put the device in sleep mode) but happy that we dont have to pull out the battery anymore

no disagreements there.
at the end of the day, pulling out the battery is the most...safest(wrong word to use,but cant think of any other...comfortable?)
than merely pressing the power button.

went outside, switched on Photo app, clicked on GPS (record location data icon) and managed to get a lock and finally, i got near to work!

other info:

bluetooth on
Wifi on
3g off
gps on

stood outside for a few minutes while using the Photos app to determine my location.

so for those with the 3G model and just cant ever get a location lock, just enter the photo app and click on the GPS icon to retrieve your location data.
the icon will turn GREEN to signify a lock

call or sms him.
i dont think he's online during the weekends...at least i barely see him online,anyway.

he used to be online all day everyday,but these days he seems quite busy.

so best call him or sms.

i had an issue with a shipment before, so called him up straight away..didnt wait
he resolved it within minutes of my call.

actually the first time it happened to me, all i did was plug in the power cable and a few minutes later i could power on the vita, which was why i assumed that would be the best course of action.

but yeah, as i mentioned in that post; i needed to hold it down for close to a minute

i wont lie, i was scared, annoyed and beyond outraged when i couldnt switch it on earlier

but yeah, hoping for a firmware fix

that would be a very risky move on Sony's part.
because say they release the new firmware in february just before the US release, what happens if the firmware does more harm than good?
that HAS happened in the past-consoles freezing,bricked, etc..

i think more likely they'll try to get as much of the bugs and glitches ironed out a few weeks prior to the launch.

i mean,the vita's only been out 2 weeks and already we have 2 firmware updates!
