QUOTE(zyulander @ Oct 23 2011, 08:45 PM) i got my self the HD668B...not the standard red..simply thinking the 'B" (balanced) should be suitable for starters like me.. first impression, they certainly sound better than my cheap sony cans & pc brand cans...im glad this brand is around so ppl can get decent sound at very affordable price they really look like akg 240, just the earpads material cause my ears to sweat after awhile lol Some suggest to put socks over the pads to make if more comfortable, like this. Should be possible for a 681. |

QUOTE(zyulander @ Oct 23 2011, 10:47 PM) eh just looked at my post.was reading 668 review that time lol. yes, its the 681B You don't have to remove anything. I just got myself a new pair of socks, cut about 10cm from it and just 'wear' it over the earpiece like when you're wearing it. Here's the step-by-step guide on how I did mine. I added some tissue/cotton for mine, hence the 10cm. If you're just gonna cover the pads, you'll need much less. |

NP. @fcuk90 Despite being close in price, E10 is technically better by quite a margin, especially in the amount of power E10 has compared to E6. Anyway, since you plan to use it w/ your phone, you'll need something other than E10 as E10's only input is USB. If you're buying a separate DAC and amp; a friend of mine suggested that a T-muso + E11 is a lot better than E10 on is own (which I imagine is largely due to T-muso's musicality as opposed to Fiio's habit of making everything as close to flat as possible.) I've the E10, though given the money I would get something like Go-Vibe mini DAC + cMoyBB w/ upgraded opamp. ((Not that I regret buying E10, it's just that I think E10 is a lot better for my wallet. Your choice. This post has been edited by Agnaem: Nov 6 2011, 12:23 AM |

@JonSpark
IIRC, the ring mod done by a guy from other country for himself. Wonder if he would go through the trouble of making some for us. Though 668B and 681 is visually identical in terms of size, based on the site said they're different by a couple of mm. The inner ring might be the same. @emiya_shin Ur welcome. ^^ Recabled, yes. And notice the 3 metal rings? Original 681 have 3 red plastic rings. As for your headphone choice, 330/440/660 won't be that nice as portable, 150 ohm needs amp for AFAIK. Though if you're willing to go for a portable setup that includes an amp, those 3 should be better than 668B/661/681 (from the reviews I read, haven't tested them myself @nick67 I would go for 330/440. No solid reason. Just a hunch. |

QUOTE(nick67 @ Nov 12 2011, 06:27 PM) I've the 668B which is supposedly either slightly better or worse than 661, which is why 661 is not in my list. Anyway, about the comfort, I guess it'll be like 668B. Not comfortable at first, but gets better as you stretch it. |
