hey guys im thinking to get superlux hd651. the reasons i chose this one coz its cheap and the review says the headphone is ok within that price range. should i just get this or just invest a lil bit and go for hd688b?

Taobao got some nice and cheap stuff. You guys can do bulk if wanna replacements. Shipping is the killer part.

Hi, need recommendation between HD660, HD661 and HD668b.

My focus on isolation as I work with light machine that is noisy. Next is of course the sound quality.

I think some of us are waiting for Bro trio to bring some in...hopefully cheaper alternative...I am waiting for the HD661 earpads

if comes to noise isolation... HD661 for sure shine among them! 

comes to bass hd681 win.. deep and tight~   finally about clarity.. HD668b WIN!

overall... HD668b still buys me cos i used "him" most of the time~

Its quite expensive~ Im looking for cheaper alternative now. I dun think it is economically wise to buy a pair of pads that cost almost the price of the cans rite?

Noooo even china velour/velvet pads are like more than rm50 TT

HD668B is the best superflux offering right? but it is open and doesn't offer isolation if I'm not mistaken.

For closed and sealed design based on what i read, hd669, hd662, hd662b and hd662f only? is there any model? sort of confusing because there are so many model.

what is the difference between them?

are u suffering from the:

1) deadly clamping force?
2) the earcup is too small that it is not enuf for ur whole ears to fit into it?
3) the space in the earcup is too shallow so ur ears suffer from being pressure?

heres the basic answer:

1) try to "CAREFULLY" bend the two black long metal rod which acts as "connector/ bridge"... a little by a little tho..   it wont break ONLY IF u are not over bend it... 

3) try put some tissue "INSIDE" the pads of the earcups which we called it the "tissue mod"... it enlarge the earcups' space a little so ur ear will not suffer from being pressure...   Dun wry about the earpads will comes out, it is easy to put them back..

for the number 2 problem, the solution is:

1) DIY ur own earpads with these materials:
    a) a pair of round shape sponges (preferable)/ any pair of sponge
    b) a pair of socks
    c) some cotton for increasing the softness (optional)
2) 1st take out the original earpads, save it tho~ it is the original anyway
3) measures the size of sponge needed and marks them down to cut them into specific size needed for ur ears...
4) cut the socks AS LONG AS POSSIBLE from to make the socks to have 2 OPEN side.. (cut the CLOSED side of the socks)
5) u MUST 1st put the socks onto the earcups of HD661 (to allow u to put in the sponges easier), and put the sponges inside socks (u can try to put a thick layer of cotton to increase the softness of ur DIY earpads) and wrap the sponges with the rest of the socks (if the socks are too long cut them BIT BY BIT... u dun wanna end up the socks are not long enuf to wrap the sponges)..
6) ENJOY UR HARDWORK!!
