Using c30. Would also like to know if it has enough power to drive the cans without external amp. I'm kinda skeptical that's why looking at iems only.

The 381F is good but the highs on some songs gets a little distortion noise..Looking to upgrade 

Offcourse every DAP got AMP inside.. if no AMP how you gonna get the sound from the DAP.
C30 use MAX9722 Opamp - 130mW per Channel into 32Ω
enough for 32Ω but if use with higher Ω, the output will smaller that's why need to have external amp.

Some DJ series headphone have up 1500mW input, with 130mW output from C30, consider really low. Need amp too here.

I can put volume to the max at C30 (volume 31) if I use with Philips headphone without any amp.

Even if I use C30 (full volume) + Fiio E11 (EQ 2, HIGH gain, full volume), my Philips headphone still can handle it very well.

Never try with any Superlux variant.

hd572 got tight bass and it actually gives you on stage feel rather than in hall feel..after it is fold up roughly the size of my sennheiser hd238 ..

C30 use Class AB opamp, Gumstick use Class A Opamp. Class A can drive even 600Ω.

Did you know gumstick have less operation time because the opamp use more power than C30?
The questions is.. if you can afford 300Ω or 600Ω headphone, do you still want to use it with C30? I suggest to get a better source (player) and better AMP.

Superlux is for someone who want to enjoy good music with less money need to spent.

I really enjoy listening music on all my superlux cans. HD381F, HD681, HD668B and coming soon HD660. I don't care what other people said as long as the cans could satisfy my ears.

I sold my MS1 just after a few hours listening to HD681. I don't say MS1 is inferior but both cans are comparable. Why should we spent more when we can get the same quality(in term of sound it produce)items at the lower price tag?

I belief this brand truly will be a giantkiller in future.

so, comparing both, which one do you prefer more?

they are totally different, EP-630 got a warm muddy bass (the bass kinda overwhelming), basshead would appreciate this more. the eartips is more comfortable, and isolation is better. (there's nothing special about it, except the comfort    )

HD381F has better bass (appropriate bass) and warmer and fuller mids, sweets for female vocal (which i prefer a LOT more than ep-630).

my opinion? HD381F beat EP-630 in many ways, especially the price tag.

a picture tells thousand words, if you know what i mean 

the small clip+ output is better than nokia 5233 itself, and clip+ can drive HD660 fairly good (good enough, i'd say), but amping would brings much more benefits.
but really, this HD660 would shine more with amping, even direct output from my laptop isnt satisfying enough

lets say, at full volume, you can hear quite plenty already, about the same 40% from laptop output
