sometimes, using the cleaning mode is not enough. Some stubborn dust wont fall out. When use blower method, make sure the lens mount is facing the floor, so that gravity will help u remove the dust while you use blower. Ever becareful not to touch your blower on any internal parts. In fact, dont hv to let the tip of blower to exceed inside the lens mount hole.

kuro0314, both lenses optimum usages are meant for outdoors, under bright sun... i've tried the 70-400, its quite light IMHO, just that the diameter is a bit larger than the 70-300, so gripping on the 70-300 is more ergonomic.

arc1414, hahaha... the 1635Z is poison... if cannot afford, then go for 16-80Z if you dont plan to go full frame...

what are your requirements for a lens? super sharp? travel friendly? longest range u can get?

i'd rate these from top to bottom for a tele travel lens..

55-200 tele kit lens
70300G tele lens
70400G tele lens
70200G f/2.8 tele lens

any of those lenses mentioned in this page CAN be fitted to your A300, or any Alpha for that matter..

normally those of us with a budget will look for one in Alphanatics.com 1st... else, if you're looking for new lenses, u can either go shop around in BB Plaza (the one next to Low Yat - not lowyat.net) or straight go find Uncle Chin aka Zaloon in Pudu Plaza

hahaha, if his vacations are mostly at beaches, then i absolutely understand

and WHY u opt to go for 70300, or 70400? if you REALLY wish up upgrade your lenses, why not upgrade your kitlens instead? Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 perhaps?
