btw, just now i want to use my F42..i connect onto the hotshoe..keep on cant detect my flash..need adjust adjust..but once locked into the position with a "click" sound, it cant detect already..

and hor, when i wan to use the dial to adjust the shutter speed and aperture, the turning seemed to be weird.
example, from f4.5 i wan to up to F8, so supposely i turn few times it will increase the F step by step, but somehow sometimes it jump to larger F, meaning, not in sequence 1..this does not happen on the dial on my battery grip. Time to go warranty?

B+W is not cheap...... =.="

Anyway, I think the better filters out there at the moment are the Hoya Pro-1D, Hoya HD, Marumi Super series, B+W and the Sony Zeiss series. Don't waste your money with the Keep or the Octopus filters.... you might as well don't put any filter on your lens....

aperture mode lo..but it doesnt seemed to be working correctly...F42 on auto and on F2.2 aperture mode will give incorrect exposure..thats why i am asking how to use it...damn hard la...got such big flash but dono how to use..damn malu wei..  

If like that, then might as well everyone get a nikon and it last longer right?

Lol. Not gonna say anything much since you made your choice, just that for the sake of better interface to change camera, that sounds pretty lame.

Nikon's nice to use, yea. But I still kinda prefer my Alpha over it

but i heard people say scared will have stray light entering. how bad will that affect my pics?     

f58 drain batt like water..need few sets if take many pictures..

Tammy ...then buy a zoom if you need zoom...

I uswd to have both 16105 n 1750

Well both got own use but i prefer 16105 for daily casual n tammy for lowlight uses

Newbieeeeee, depends, for travel i take 16-105 for range, for events like annual dinner, use 16-105 + flash

for model and event model - 1750, for evening/night party 1750, clubbing + restaurant that are like-pub darkness and also redbox outing..

the only diff i feel is the weight of the lens, 1750 quite heavy and as usual, mine was lemon copy, so got backfocus...sent for fixing twice........

Hello all

I'm a newbie in this Photography section. I am now having my good time experiencing my new Sony Alpha 390. During those first new days i was having bad time taking pictures and was not aware of lighting, aperture and etc. and i was still using wrong ISO =.=" make the pic look grainy

And there s this time when I was taking pic out side of TGIF the shot was fast like 1/14 , but the moment i sat down at the table and start taking pic ( in bad lighting ) the shot was like 1/3 or even worst 3 secs. And I got really freaked out !!! I thought maybe my itchy fingers had done something wrong to the camera settings =.=" and I really thought my camera was basically gone ! :| then only i tried in the morning again, the shot was damn fast and good. So i go read and figure out XD silly me.

Now is better   but still learning more XD Hope you all can guide me and critique my picture yah~
