QUOTE(ahpingko @ Feb 27 2011, 09:21 AM) How u can make it to reflect the mosque??..ask the wind to stop blowing the water so that the water can be calm enough as a mirror surface??? Or slow shutter under such bright light???.. I noticed that water will be calm at dawn. You can easily get reflection from the water just after dawn and before the sun is fully up in the sky. After that the water will be quite choppy. |

QUOTE(hazril @ Feb 27 2011, 11:53 AM) for me i'll go with 70-210 or 35 bro... pic not sharp....try again... *trying newbieeeeee style of commenting* QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 27 2011, 11:57 AM) Codyx: Unconventional framing of the Petronas Twin Towers, not sure I like it. hi albnok, iwould like to get the STf but its out of my budget and if i am reaching there i think the 84 f1.4 should be sufficiend though........... anyway i did consider the 85mm f2.8 but will the 2.8 be sufficient?? since that i need to 1-2 stop down to achieve sharper picture..... as far as i am comfortable, i have been doing 1-2 stop down for all my cameras to achieve sharper pics....so far didnt dare to use on wide aperture, unless really needed.ahpingko: No point also converting from RAW to TIFF unless you want to make a good backup. TIFF is just a high quality JPG without the ability to retweak your WB etc. mintii: Nice #2! Now if only the thing on the right was not in the scene. lanusb: For the best bokeh, get the Sony 135mm F2.8/T4.5 Smooth Transition Focus. However it will be too long for PC Fair range shooting - PC Fair is easier with a 35mm F1.8. A cheap and practical telephoto option would be the 85mm F2.8. hazril, yea i was considering those two. but looks like time to go uncle chin to play n test again?? |

I am planning to get the 85mm f2.8 SAM. I've tested it and it's very acceptable wide open to me. For that price and that quality, it's as good as it is going to get. The 85mm f1.4 Zeiss is 5 times the price and I'm sure the sharpness is not five times as sharp. The only thing is that the Zeiss is f1.4 so it's much more usable in low light without flash.hazril, yea i was considering those two. but looks like time to go uncle chin to play n test again?? |

erm, i think the 135mm STF(36xx) is considerably cheaper than the Zeiss 85mm f1.4(50XX).

chiahau: Yes, the 85mm F2.8 is good! Have you tried it?
lanusb: The 85mm F2.8 is sharp wide open. Go try it at a Sony Style. wingster: Nice history filter! |
