Hi, I've been lurking on this Tab for some time.
Currently I am using HTC Desire & would like to ask 1 question related. Do you guys (rooted SGT) use Setcpu to govern your GT for better battery performance? For my Desire, I use Setcpu to govern my device by underclocking to below 400mhz (Stock is 1Ghz) while screen off. It do help to prolong the battery life. Just to check if possible to prolong the battery life. Hope I could get my SGT to replace my iPad (which I found it too big to lug around) This post has been edited by danieloo: Apr 20 2011, 10:02 PM |

Anyone knows what is the fastest and easiest way to reproduce the post 1 to 4 to be put in a new thread v2. As there are so much details - the idea of copy and paste individually is very time consuming

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 26 2011, 06:08 PM) Always remember when you flash through Odin, if you see FAILED DO NOT ever disconnect the TAB from the computer. You will lose the connection between the TAB and computer Is there any step to step to this like turtorial for this. I didn't do anything like cooked rom lah or etc....why must it happen to me......thanks So I suggest you try this trick which sometimes work for the Galaxy S Switch off the TAB. Hold down both volume buttons and then at the same time plug in the usb into your TAB from the computer. When you see activity let go of the buttons . It should put you into download mode . If you reach this stage , launch Odin and reflash roto JME When you flash recovery, did you check the CFRoot file should be in tar format and not over extracted ? |

QUOTE(0300078 @ Apr 21 2011, 12:03 AM) These are the 3 roms that are reputable:1. RFS file system : Rotohammer JMI : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939360 2. RFS or EXT4 : Modaco R1 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=941423 3. EXT4 - most versatile, full feature and very popular highly recommended : Overcome http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932082 Overcome is now probably the most popular - his upgrades are often, every 1-2 weeks. His latest versions allow you to install recovery and change default RFS file system to EXT4 Read the links for details Added on April 21, 2011, 12:13 am QUOTE(aruja_69 @ Apr 20 2011, 11:41 PM) Is there any step to step to this like turtorial for this. QUOTE(mono @ Apr 21 2011, 12:38 AM) It's alright, just follow the Installation guide in the Overcome ROM thread. I've written it with the new users in mind, taking into account all the steps you'll possibly need to get the Overcome ROM into your Tab, with the least amount of hassles in there. There's even a section on how you can back-up your important data, and restoring it once you've successfully flashed the Overcome ROM.Albeit there's a slight errata there within the guide, as the stock-ROM package linked within the guide currently doesn't wipe the internal SD as how we'd prefer it... but for most people, it should be fine. For the moment, I'd suggest going to 1.4.5, as there's some bugs still to be ironed out within the 1.6.0 ROM... will be testing the 1.6.1 once alterbridge, the Overcome ROM/Kernel developer finishes the translation of the locales... If you guys face any issues, just give me a holler at the Overcome thread at XDA, though I do pop in here once in a while... Cheers and have fun...
