Cannot like this lah, ruin poll already, if they give you pocket money more than RM100 and always support you financially when you need them, you are RICH already. 

Poor = little or no pocket money, family rely on you since very little, parents earning no more than RM3000.

How about if he said "yes, but you have to study what I want you to study, dress how I want you to dress, eat what I want you to eat, stay where I want you to stay, and only speak to people I want you to speak to" ?

Do you think people give money away for free? people always want something in return. Even the charities, they are set up because someone with a lot of money wants to dictate terms (otherwise why would a charity tell you what they want? and force its volunteers to wear uniforms and listen to orientation speeches?)
