was about to ask that too. so just the nano coating and 4mm focal range diff.
*
Nanocoat actually improves CA and also contrast. Take for example the 85D versus the 85G, the 85G has better CA control and also contrast when wide open at f/1.4

Same goes to the 70200 VR and 70200 VRII.

Read the manual, there's one part about file number sequence. I can't recall which section it is in. It is best to leave the number running, no need to worry having duplicate file names and end up overwritting when copying to PC.

the focus test is for the lens only or is body also matter?

Both, it could be your lens or your both or both lens + body.

Just got D700 less than 1 month. will see what are the improvements, or else stick with D700
*
Same here, we got it almost the same time laugh.gif .

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Jan 27 2011, 09:12 AM)
The improvement will be tremendous i presume. Just look at D90 and D7000. So yesterday and today's technology differences  wink.gif

If it is that much, sure jump drool.gif . But if you tell me something like D3 and D3s, I'll skip it.

What I mean is, if the improvement is like D90 -> D7000 then I will jump. But if it is D3 -> D3s type of improvement then I will skip it. Not saying that D800 performs like D3s lol.

D700 using exact same sensor as D3, also the same engine. That's why I didn't bother going for D3.

Just found out that D700 sensor is developed by Nikon, not Sony
*
Where did this information come from?

But then again, I didn't see any 12MP FX sensor from Sony (D3 and D700). The only sensor I know using Sony is the D3x's 24.5MP (A900).

i think the D700 shares the same sensor as the D3 and D3s... while D3100 should share the sensor with D90...
*
D3100 not using D90's sensor. D3100 is new sensor from Nikon.

hopefully it's going to be 'high jump' like D90.  brows.gif

It probably using D7000's sensor. But wonder what features is upgraded from D300s, probably the upgraded view feature (the same in D7000) and wonder what else.

Most thing from D7000 will be there. 2016, new sensor, new AF module and etc wink.gif

AF module is the one that is interesting. Wonder what new system will Nikon introduce for their FX line up.
