Sorry bro.... mines' have been given out for free

hey guys. I am planning to do 3 upgrades.
1 sound system change head unit and speaker to pioneer (should be about 700)
2 sound proofing (based on a thread by a forumner andhe said cost less than RM 300 to do for whole car if ownself diy)
3 add another fan for my air cond. (fren father mechanic so can get for rm 50)

any one of this upgrade u guys think is not neccessary?
I need some feedback cz i duwan regret later....

Anyone know how to remove the roof to DIY in soundproof material?like where to remove then only can remove the sponge

first u remove the hand thingy (for ppl to hold d I duno how to describe)
remove the screw and the sun block thingy (to block the driver and passenger view)
then at the back there u can see a few round round shape thing d.
kopek it out then got screw
remove all out.
then u can remove d.

hi, all sifus here. i'm facing some problems with my car, hope any sifus can give some opinions.

I'm a LMSS 03' owner. My car experienced serious "eating engine oil" to the extend where the time i reach 3k km, the engine oil can even reach the stick(stick that check how much engine oil). Then i have to add half bottle of engine oil(around 2liter) to my car.

When i send my car to mechanics, most of them asked 2 same questions.
1) Do u see any engine oil on the floor?
2) Do u see white smoke from your exhaust?
And my answer is:
1) Cant see any engine oil on floor.
2) Dont see white smoke from exhaust.
Then they also duno where to check. One of the mechanic said he saw some oil in my exhaust there so he predict the engine oil is leak in that way. And i've asked 2 mechanics what is the solution. They give me 2 solutions also which are "TOP" and Overhault. They said if piston still in good condition then can only do "TOP". But then the price of overhault is so much different between their price. One mechanic said RM900 including changing RAK piston, rim. Another said RM1800 including changing piston,rim but i din ask what brand. What a WOW, 2x difference.

So i dont know what to do. Any sifu can give any opinions? Or is there any sifus here has a workshop?

you use what brand of engine oil?
sked imitation only..........
and engine oil also can vaporize and out through PCV valve.......usually frequently high revving can make oil become vapour and out through PCV valve.....

definition of......

TOP overhaul
Change the Valve Seal and top gasket

Overhaul
change wear&tear part of engine like Valve seal,Piston Ring and clean the engine,piston,head
check the valve if have crack need to change,




piston no need to change if it in perfect condition just change piston ring....

brother, top overhaul only change the gasket, bolt the piston.....normally only RM500 (plus engine oil + top gasket + labour) , RM1800 can do overhaul oledi.........

One of the machenic's price full overhaul(not TOP) is rm900. is 900 reasonable or isit too cheap? this mechanic's TOP price is around rm500 as what u said. but the rm1800 mechanic is my regular mechanic that whenever my car has prob/change engine oil i send to him. but his price is too much for me...

depend your desire......more you upgrade or +the item make ur car more fun and comfort to drive.......if you willing to spend the amount that you stated....go ahead.....that will make you satisfy what you do...

hmm have u personally tried to soundproof ur car?
I duno whether shud do..

no....my car to old to soundproofing.....but it make more comfort your drive.....but.....to make sound proof....all door rubber must in good condition...

my house also got one more iswara.
it is 7 yr old compared to my one 3 yr old.
huge difference. the rubber all dead adi one.
close door sound very terrible.
when travel on the road can hear the noise sound so loud.
my one is when those car rev very strong can hear some sound penetrate and some sound come from bottom of my car.
roof will have sound when raining and my engine sound like want explode when driving 140km/h.



I already order the rubber strip for my car's door and boot. (frm US total cost + delivery RM100 and waited for 1/2 month! )
Once I get it this weekend I will install.
Hope I dunnid do soundproof =X

use local that enuf.....when travel high speed....that make a lot sound is side mirror....engine is normal...but can buy hood sound proof pad.....

Even better than VW Polo direct injection engine?

Our car is 45liter x 20km - 900km per full tank? Wow....

max i can get iz 15km/1L on highway and roughly 10>13km/1L on city driving

Just FYI, our engine is famous for minyak hitam hilang magic

Most likely it evaporates if you high rev too much.

If i were you, i rather do a proper overhaul which may cost RM2 - RM3k. This include rebore your engine block by extra 2-3mm. Using same conrod but oversized piston. Engine would be more powerful at least gain 10whp extra

better spend little more for 4G18 balancing shaft....new conrod+1.6 piston......
