hi everyone... want to ask:

1. what are the advantages of asus G series over alienware?

2. what are the disadvantages of asus G series over alienware?
*
1. High performance/price ratio; longer default warranty(2 years); comes with 2 years international warranty without paying more.

2. No fancy multicolour backlighting; harder to disassemble (for repast works); build quality is not as good as AW, no onsite service.

Here is a video guide for those who want to clean their Asus G73, it's a good guide to disassemble your Asus G73 to clean the fans in it. Warning, mind the screws and connectors in the laptop :]

*
It was indeed a very crucial video to show us how to disassemble it. At 1st, it may appears hard but it will get easier when you have disassemble it for than once . . . especially when you want to repaste biggrin.gif

It's a good to let people to know what they need to do to maintain the G73 before purchasing it. :]

By the way, watched your video on G73 review. But I can't agree the Asus G73 wins on performance over price ratio as compared to Sager notebook lol, they should be around the same though I agree that Sager is kinda conservative on the exterior of their laptops.

Anyway, where did you get the chiclet keyboard skin for your Asus G73? Might want to get one for my Sager NP8170 since their keys' locations are kinda similar.

Wonder if I can find a good G53 disassembly guide since the one on youtube has camera angle problem :[
*
smile.gif Agree. Nowadays, Sager notebooks are really good in performance/ price ratio. Just that their exterior was too conservative for me but it is a really subjective matter. biggrin.gif

I bought it via eBay but I have stopped using it as I feel better if go naked. laugh.gif

but then you need a big community for that to work, unless to share pictures you don't need your friend to sign up, just the link to the album. But that becomes something like flicker no?

because if i ask my friends to sign up for this, most of them will be like, 'what for? got facebook already' and the only issue i see with facebook is privacy... not like bad layout, or ads.

iirc the whole thing about facebook was about them selling personal info to ad companies, and stuff like if you delete a photo, the photo still remains on the facebook server? and levels to control which apps get what info
*
Thanks for your share. I will reconsider how to make this whole thing works . . . just PM me if you have any features that you think you would like to have smile.gif I really appreciate it! thumbup.gif

<s> is it even safe to overclock on a laptop? </s>

I never tried before to OC my G73Jh. For me, it is quite risky and the current performance is quite decent for me which make no sense for me to take the risk biggrin.gif
