It is a stereo speakers.

The sound quality is considered good in that form factor. However, I still recommend you to get a decent 2.1 or 5.1 speakers for home theater set up as this tiny speakers will cost you very much too. If I'm not mistaken, RM210 at Malaysia.

Added on February 21, 2011, 5:26 amDang it. My notebook has a problem again. This time is speakers (audio) problem.

The problem details as follow:

1. When I was watching some YouTube videos. suddenly the speakers went MAD as it produced annoying high pitch sound which scared the shit out of me as it happened suddenly. At first, I ignored it and assumed that it would be something wrong to the vid.

2. Few hours later, the sound appeared again while I was listening to my songs. That scared the shit out of me too as it came out of sudden. Dang it!

What do you guys think is wrong with this notebook.

I have to try reinstall the sound driver.

I didn't carry my notebook to class since I bought this notebook. Thus, it may not due to the damage of the wires.

Nope. This problem didn't pop up when I used the Razer Ferox.

I'm thinking now how exactly I messed up with the driver?

The plug-and-play Razer Ferox can mess up the sound driver?

This sounds like an overheat problem. If you want to make sure that this problem will not happen again, then it is better for you to repaste it.

It has matte screen too.

I'm now on the way to the CeBIT. Hope that I'll be able to snap some pics if G74 and share with you guys the overview of this machine.

First impression:
Nice! I love the design especially the layout of the keyboard. The area around the keyboard was made of a very solid feeling aluminium which is dang cool. However, I'm not sure whether this is the final design as the keyboard was a dummy and didn't function at all.

Besides that, the speakers grill also made of aluminium. My guess is Asus want to solve the easily trapped and spotted dust in the minute speaker's mesh?

The cover has almost the same material with G53.

Agree. The placement of the vents are less cool than ours one.

I'm so in love with this backpack when I 1st saw it at CeBIT 2011.
