Well nvm I'm gonna see if any one of my friend is expert in these wiring stuffs hahaha! Because I want that LED to have an option to be off or on. =/  I'm just worried about the warranty :S that is all.
*OOT* yours are familiar too! biggrin.gif I'll add you once I get my G74 sleep.gif previous laptop which was passed down by my brother, the Dell XPS M1530 (he sued for 5 years then I use one year) Died for no reason. malas want send repair @_@

Added on October 1, 2011, 9:35 pmAnd i also have something to ask. I'm sure dust will accumulate at the big-ass vent of the G series. So how do you clean them? Can I use a vacuum cleaner?
*
Haha alright. Nah get an air-can to blow it out. Many tutorials on youtube or notebookreview.com. Go to the Asus ROG notebooks sections. Plenty there heh

I ran 20+ VM with no problem with my G53SW..... just need huge harddisk great i7proc and >8GB ram hahahaha
*
Woot good to know. But the G53SX, they wrote there max 8GB only but got 2 SO-DIMM slot. Is it proc restricted or what? Because i plan to upgrade the i7-2630M to something more powerful in future, maybe Ivy Bridge icon_idea.gif

The thing is, they only bring stock in that is only enough to fulfill the orders, they don't keep stock.

I've never seen the G-Series in real life also to be honest, for 21 years of my life.. Only recently when i've decided to get one, i went over to Lowyat and saw it.. and deer gawd, it was amazingly beautiful and stealthy .

me gusta. .____.

That's their fan page. I added them on their main page and screwed them in a nice way.

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000713718259

Now to do it on their FB fan page.

Done, posted on both side of the page. And i saw Jeez aka Hino there making noise about his service as well. rclxms.gif

the next time you get to talk to them right on the phone, give them a piece of your mind, don't hold back. scold the shit out of them. threaten them by saying if this is not solved any sooner, you're bringing it to the Consumers' Rights. I did that with HP and it worked.

i would do that if they did the same to me, it's really unacceptable and unprofessional. furthermore they boasted so much about their service and reliability in the brochure.

I don't see any much difference about it.. besides it using 2670 instead of 2630. Processor can be upgraded anytime, which i plan to when Ivy Bridge comes out.

You can't chase tech. And i doubt Asus Malaysia is that quick in bringing those new models in when they can't even fulfill current orders properly.

Guys, Asus has announced the new RM3999 model with i7-2670M. Everything same except for the proc. Do you think i should call the shop and ask them to get that instead? Since Asus said it will be released next week.

Processor with 200Mhz differs doesn't help much.

Asus's page said that they'll be replacing the SZ039 model with this (S1208V), at midst of assembly and will be ready by end of Oct.. I'll call up the shop and ask if mine is already almost on the way, I'll take my order anyway, and wait for Ivy Bridge rclxms.gif

If my order is still not fulfilled and not even ready, might as well get the newer one..

Then i'll have to inform the shop about order change. Another month of wait.
*
You can ask if they are still shipping the SZ039 to you or not.. If they are not, order change lar.

oohh monash! what a coincidence! biggrin.gif there will be two G series near by then hehehe. one for you and one for me! I'm in Sunway college btw smile.gif and i always go to monash's library wink.gif

Added on October 6, 2011, 1:03 pmand oohh I have to wait for 4-5 weeks for my G74sx sleep.gif oh damn.

2 hrs ago Asus M'sia facebok page posted the g series poster ( http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101...5&type=1&ref=nf ) and the G74 series will be BUILT upon order? oh my. wait another month! D:
*
O'rly!? Haha add me up on FB man.. I'm always in the labs doing work, rarely the library because it's too damn noisy there. I used to study in Sunway U as well for Pre-U. wink.gif

Why another month? I thought you ordered your G74SX earlier? It should either be building or built already... They can just swap processors, shouldn't take them a whole damn month to do that

There is a dedicated key panel with ROG button, which functions as to turn on/off 3D.

The Asus Malaysia Facebook page:
Also due to high demand model, we need ample time to build for all those who pre-ordered previously.

Which lead to our order was made but Asus Malaysia did not do anything all these time when we're waiting for the laptop to arrive. I'm demanding compensation for the GREAT delay now. vmad.gif

Thanks, kudos for the link.
This is a better way to resolve this, if they can't fulfill our suggestion then I'm filing Consumer Right and let them deal with how Govt works.
*
LOL i think they're taking precaution already since so many people complain, hence the email. And reading Hico's post, the manager said by next week? rclxms.gif

Apparently, G53SX-IX199V(3D) looks more of a better deal.  cry.gif

Considering the amount of time I've wasted waiting for that goddamned G53SX-SZ039, yes it does seem more of a better deal.

QUOTE(trustmeiamlegit @ Oct 9 2011, 08:02 AM)
guys.. i found something interesting...

560m 128bit @1080p vs 460m 192bit @1080p  (both using same settings)
http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gamin...s-here-few.html

http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...0M.33612.0.html

click on the fps on the notebookcheck page to see what model is it

for mafia 2, same avg fps

for bfbc2, 27fps for 560m 128bit, 29 for the 460m 192bit (g73sw) not really big difference..

no comparison for dirt 3 in ultra for 460m.. but if u do the math, the 560m 192bit is abt 10-15% more powderful..and the avg fps for dirt3 ultra in 560m 192bit is 22-23fps... and 10-15% of that is around 2 or 3fps.. so theoretically, the 460m 192bit shud get around 20-21 fps.. which is what the around the avg fps the 560m 128bit got...
i think i can conclude that at 1080p , the 560m 128bit can perform almost as good as the 460m 192bit.. lol

Woo interesting find, nice stuff man. Looks like i wont be disappointed a lot thumbup.gif
