i'm very interested in asus's new laptops.. but doesn't any of them use ati gc? and will there be any asus laptop that can fight the hp elite book which claims up to 32 hours of battery life? bcos of this, currently very tempted to go HP elitebook instead... and elitebook's design is not bad either..

32 hours of battery life? That's epic
Any links to this HP Elitebook? and yes, there are Asus variants running on Ati/AMD Radeon. You can refer here for more details regarding the specs: http://event.asus.com/my/2011/productguide/PG_Jan_Feb.pdf This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Feb 25 2011, 02:12 PM |

QUOTE(imin @ Feb 25 2011, 04:02 PM) but it seems non of the asus sandy bridge laptop has ati gc Because Nvidia Optimus only works for Nvidia GPUs? that's why.. furthermore the design is nice... I may be wrong but afaik ATI/AMD GPUs can only support manual switching... Anyway, for those curious about the Elitebook, the link is here: http://www.waleg.com/techgadgets/archives/022137.html The specs seemed very restricted to achieve the 32 hour mark... and it looks almost the same as the current Probook... I think the main difference would be the exorbitant price tag Its very far from what SB laptops can do |

I think what I really want is Asus Sandy Bridge U series.. thin, powerful and superb batery life laptop:D |
