QUOTE(Zeten @ Feb 23 2011, 12:21 PM)
Hello Shifus,

I bought a 10/11 Man Utd UCL Size S Shirt via the United store but it didnt come with the "Respect" badge
So i called up Man Utd store and the badge was sent to me..

Can i please know some tips on how to iron it on the and how can i ensure it is properly aligned?
Thanks!
*
Use a cloth over the badge. Set your iron to about 2 dots. Apply pressure for about 10 seconds. Once done, turn your jersey inside out and repeat the process. The thinness and material of this badge makes it very easy to apply.

As for the alignment, just follow the picture from the man utd store if you want it to be more "professional-looking".

http://store.manutd.com/stores/manutd/prod....aspx?pid=84909

As you can see in the pic, the respect badge is placed at the bottom half region when compared to the starball.

But still, it is based on your preference.

nice article. clubs/designers shouldn't experiment too much with their kits.

Your Chelsea PI made in China too?

Mine is made in Thailand. Don't be worried about the country. Most PI jerseys are made in Thailand,Indonesia etc

maybe cos only can register once for one number which RM regiestered M.Diarra first time round?
*
Maybe,maybe...but the mystery would then be why would adebayor want two numbers?

I thnk what bro longamwai said is correct.Since Diarra left mid season..most likely cannot register Adebayor with the same number again. It is due to UEFA regulations, eg Carroll will wear no.29 in the Europa League instead of no.9 biggrin.gif
*
yeah, just find it weird that he would prefer not sticking to no. 28 even for la liga if that was case especially when he is on loan (I do understand the rationale for carroll wanting to reserve the number 9)

For my case (Singapore), kitbag's non registered delivery has always arrived faster than my registered mails. It takes only 6-8 days (inclusive of
weekends) whereas my registered mails will always take 12-14 days. Not sure why this is the case though.
But as mentioned above, the sleeve badges and NNs are replica sized. Would recommend u to just get the jersey from kitbag.

haha Gary, guess its the local post offices then. Probably Malaysia is bigger so more manual effort needed to sort the posts (Im trying very hard to justify it for them).
*
But it still doesnt explain why my registered mails take alot longer haha. Oh wells smile.gif

abit scare to DIY , maybe will get *ahhem* set to try first, then just apply on my original jersey ..
*
would be better to bring it to a professional shop to have it printed rather than to waste the NNs or to even waste the cash in purchasing a pirated kit.

Lol..just a personal opinion, its good practice, even if it does go wrong, you can use it for your sporting needs like field football where you can put that shirt to endless amounts of abuse... brows.gif

I usually don't take the risk as NNs aren't particularly cheap :/

I only print on badges for now, i usually get my printing service done for free hence never really saw the incentive to get it printed myself.
shall take the next step forward soon!

That was the main reason I started too biggrin.gif
Haha if it's free then why not? Lol. But yeah, DIY is fun too. But of course I know people who still prefer printing at shop even though collecting for a long time. Nothing is wrong when it comes to this.
*
as you mentioned, the ability to be absolutely precise on your own terms does play a part smile.gif
yup its pretty fun when I googled images online regarding the placement of badges too.

Blackpool's away is pretty nice too. But their shipping is 15gbp. Do note that they use replica sized NNs.
